Great speakeasy style bar. The whiskey selection is vast and most of the people working have great knowledge of the options. Food is great, although order early as the kitchen does seem to get backed up easily based on my past visits.

Im not easily impressed by any means. The current chef, Chef Valentine from Black Cat Eatery went crazy. Every dish seemed like he was trying to let you know there is no competition.
The patties are made with multiple cultures in mind. Fusing the styles effortlessly. Then topped with an aioli sauce that brings it all together.
The special of the night was scallops. I believe they had a touch of jerk on top because it was a bit of spice. But nothing overbearing. Perfectly prepared and presented like a game winning trophy.
The spin on Ackee And Salt fish was next level. I usually am not a fan of ackee. I tend to just make saltfish with a side of bammy or fried dumplins. But turning it into some what of a puree is nothing short of genius. Ill definitely be stealing that idea.
Ill be back for sure. I need to try the Griyot, the Oxtail and the Suya Beef.
- next review ill include the ambiance because I was too focused on the food.

Had a reservation for 6:45, didn’t receive drinks until 7:40 and was never given water (until requested). Drinks were expensive and lacked flair. Unfortunate experience
Just had drinks 🍸 amazing

I went here to celebrate my best friends birthday and everything was perfect! We all got different drinks and they were all amazing. Our server, Jessie, was extremely accommodating and made the experience that much better. I cannot wait to come back and hope I get Jessie as a server once again! Would highly recommend!

I went to Wink and Nod on the recommendation of a friend, and it was the right choice to celebrate my brother's birthday. We stopped by during Chef Valentine Howell's Black Cat residency, and the experience was a delight in every way. The drinks and service (from Jesse), and ambiance were amazing. This box isn't big enough to speak truthfully about the food. Suffice to say, I CANNOT WAIT until Chef Valentine open's his own place. When talent like his works hard, we all win, and this man (and his wife - teamwork makes the dream work!) throws down. Please stop by if you have the chance, whether for food or just drinks, though I highly recommend you catch Chef Valentine while he's there (only until June I believe). The sticker price can lean high, especially for some of the beverages. But talent cost money (as does rent in the South End lol), and all the employees there are on top of their game. Live a little, and treat yourself!
Ordered a 25 dollar glass of wine and they poured me about a fourth of a glass. And it wasn’t good. There’s also rap music blasting. Weird place.

The food was 10/10! I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The service was immaculate from booking the reservation to the minute, we walked in we were greeted and seated right away. Our waiter was amazing. He went above and beyond, explaining all the dishes and drinks, and he was very, very knowledgeable. Even the chef came out to talk to us for a little bit and he truly is an amazing chef. Definitely recommend this restaurant. It is a 10 out of 10 would definitely go back in a heart beat. Try the patties! I 100% recommend the patties .

Really fun food, great drinks, friendly service and cozy space. My only quibble is that the place gets loud fast.
5 stars across the board! The food is amazing! While I usually lean toward meat or fish, the exquisite bartender/server (Katie) said I should have the cabbage. Taking her advice was one of the best decisions I've made in quite some time. The 1/2 head of cabbage was grilled, with jerk butter confit cabbage, spiced carrot puree, salsa macha and a plantain crumble. I have never tasted anything quite like it! The bartenders and servers were wonderful as well. All were knowledgeable, attentive and amiable. The ambience is also unique, with a definite speakeasy kinda feel. I highly recommend this place. Whether you just want to stop by for a drink (or two), or sit down for a unique dining experience, you can't go wrong.
The ambience was very nice with warm lighting and a quiet atmosphere. The espresso martini was delicious as well!

Service was a bit slow, not sure if that's a regular thing but the drinks and food were good!
Absolutely one of the best meals we've had in Boston. We went specifically to try their highly rated espresso martinis. Those did not disappoint. Amazing. What we were surprised with is their new chef had just started for the next six month residency period. The Afro Caribbean food was simply stunning. We enjoyed the Djon Djon Rice, the Pattie, the Skewer, and the pork belly. Nothing disappointed and each left us wishing we'd ordered more. We topped it off with the ginger cake, which also stunned. Five stars will totally be going back.
