Whenever I'm in Boston, I always make sure to have a lobster roll. After discovering Yankee Lobster, I tend to keep coming back. It's a simple yet delicious seafood restaurant that exudes local charm. You visit Yankee Lobster because you want to relish your food, have a good time, and leave feeling satisfied. The lobster roll I had was freshly made, and the portion size was just right. I also enjoyed the clam chowder soup, which tasted sacred. I would definitely love to come back here to eat again. I think of it as a flavorful and healthier fast food alternative.

Some of the best fish and chips I've had and a good amount of food for what you pay. Would definitely come again.

Very expensive, but absolutely tasteless, and there were lobster claws in the bisque. Maybe that's a bonus for some, but the lobster really was quite tasteless and mediocre. So we're the cream pies. I'm really not a fan of this place

For the past three years, ever since my first Boston Marathon trip in 2022, I have made stopping at this place my top priority. The hot buttered lobster roll is absolutely fantastic. Being from Wisconsin, I crave this from the moment I leave the city and cannot wait to return. The clam chowder is fantastic as well. You cannot go wrong with Yankee Lobster and I cannot wait to come back in 2025!

Came here straight from the airport. In town for business and was excited to try a Boston lobster roll. I got there within 45 minutes of opening and they were already packed. Staff was courteous and helpful. It was suggested to try the cold roll meal and I ordered an appetizer of calamari. Based on the reviews, I had high hopes of everything being delicious! Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Both the calamari and fries came out warm/room temp instead of hot and crispy. The calamari had little to no seasoning IMO. I had to add salt. The fries would have been great had they been hot. The lobster roll was dry and could have used more mayo. It was also chewy and had shells in it. Overall, I’d say the food was just okay which was disappointing considering the price point. For the calamari, lobster roll and bottled water this was about $55.

Fantastic Lobster roll with papas! The bar atmosphere is super warm and seaport authentic! There is a patio to enjoy your food while breathing fresh seaport smell!?

The lobster rolls here are expensive, but given the quality and the portion size, they are worth it. There must have been a pound of lobster meat in my roll! The clam chowder is the best I've has in a while. The cole slaw was just the way I like it: creamy and crunchy. There is limited seating inside. You order and pay at the counter, then they bring the food to your table. This is not a fancy place, but the food is really good!

I received a lobster roll through Grub Hub delivery. I don't think I have ever tasted something as sad and disappointing as this. It had what in my opinion, tasted like fake lobster comprised of lobster imprinted spongy material with cartoon-like red spots and patches in the exact same place on each and every same shaped piece. Each piece looked like it was stamped out of a playdough mold. There were a few pieces of what looked and tasted like canned crab meat, but the fake lobster claws were ridiculous. The few bites I tasted had a strong tin can taste, so I'm guessing this consisted partially of canned crabmeat. The remainder was fish flavored sponge pieces. Perhaps because my order was delivered to me at my hotel, they thought a dumb tourist wouldn't know. But I have a very sensitive and accurate palate. I wanted to love a lobster roll from this place but it was inedible cat food.

Small eatery in the seaport district that we tried that had good reviews. I had the traditional lobster roll that was STUFFED full and delicious. Never had a traditional one before so for a first time one, it was a good one. Although when we trying to ask questions when ordering, the girl at the desk (you order immediately when you walk in after looking at a huge board) was no help and did not seem interested in answering any unfortunately. My husband ended up with a chicken sandwich. The place is quite small. We were able to find a table in the enclosed outdoor eating section so that was nice.

Swell folks. Fish tacos were amazing. Covered roof + heat lamps for outdoor seating did a great job but might overwhelm people who are temperature sensitive.
