Mediocre Asian Takeout in Seaport

Stopped by to grab some extra food after a weak dinner nearby. Saturday night in Seaport is an odd time for casual takeout spots like this. Most people are dressed up for cocktails, not scooping poke bowls or teriyaki chicken under fluorescent lights. A lot of the dishes on display looked tired, but when we saw a state trooper walk in, we figured it had to be at least decent. It wasn’t.

We got a poke bowl and a combo plate with teriyaki chicken, sautéed shrimp, and Thai basil chicken. The food was underwhelming overall. The poke bowl was fine, but there wasn’t anything tying it together. The wasabi mayo was barely noticeable, and with only four salad or veggie toppings allowed, there wasn’t much room to fix it. They also used large-cut salmon and tuna cubes, which made the texture clunky (doesn’t work unless the fish is extremely fresh).

The combo plate was worse. Aside from the Thai basil chicken, which was ok, the rest tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. The shrimp was rock hard, and the teriyaki chicken was dry. Honestly, I’d pick a Panda Express plate over this any day. The prices here were about the same.

Food wasn’t fresh
They fill the bowl with it so much rice and barely protein
When I asked to switch a bo l to something else the server refused although it was in his hands preparing it
I wouldn’t recommend it due to poor customer service and food wasn’t fresh

Ordered on the app through toast. Poke bowl was ready shortly after. The portion is a good size and they do not shy in filling the bowl up! I unfortunately didn’t take a pic before I started mixing everything, but presentation was nice as well! Will definitely be back when I get the chance!

The food at this location is not consistent. I went in last week around lunch and ordered their chicken teriyaki with white rice, it was delicious. I went back a week later, ordered the same thing and it was horrible. Chicken wasn't as fresh and rice was over boiled. It was like eating mushy rice. I had to throw it away. I wanted to like this place but their food as I stated before is not consistent. This ruined my entire lunch. I had to run back out and get another lunch.
