I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant Ziggy’s Cafe.

A simple, sports-bar-style restaurant located not far from Boston Common.
When we arrived, the place was packed with a very young, student-type crowd watching several sporting events on the many TVs. Because of the crowd, service was understandably slow — one waitress was handling nearly 50 people on her own — but another staff member kindly stepped in to take our order, which we really appreciated.

We ordered a hamburger and a clam chowder. Both were perfectly decent — nothing exceptional, but good, honest food at an acceptable price point. A solid option if you’re in the area and want something casual.

One thing to note: when the bar is full, the restrooms are quite limited, and there was a long line to use them.

Overall, a good spot if you enjoy a lively sports atmosphere and want a straightforward meal near Boston Common.

Hands down one of the coolest restaurants I have been to. It is an all day bar and most of the day serving breakfast. The wait staff was very efficient and the food was not only very reasonably priced but it was delicious. I will be back!

Been in Boston 4 days and this was hands down nicest food we have eaten. Avocado, poached eggs on toast was so tasty and fresh, pico de gallo was amazing. Coffee perfect. Waitress was so friendly. Thanks again ziggys, wish we had found you sooner 🇮🇪♧
