Need to update website on Minor policy, was sent away tonight by guy at door saying it was 21plus only at 8:30 pm place was pretty much empty. Visiting from out of town so we checked website before walking out on rainy night which only state after 6pm minors must be accompanied by an Adult.

To this day, my wife and I have spent quite a bit of time here.
On March 23rd around 5:45 PM we arrived to eat something and play some snooker - as usual.
They asked for ID at the entrance and I showed a photo as has happened several times in the past.
The guard refused to let us in and the manager said that after 6:00 PM they needed to see an ID - when I showed him that the clock showed 5:45 PM he swallowed his tongue but refused to let us in anyway.
Childish and closed-off behavior, as befits certain places in the US.
We will not go back there again and I recommend staying away from the place in general because as soon as it gets even a little full - the service becomes exceptionally bad.

Didn't let me in even though my party was inside, didn't let me in to pick up my food. Maybe their atmosphere is good, but they're kind of jerks. Hopefully other folks had better experiences

I don’t recommend anyone going to this bar. My friends and I had 2 drinks on a Friday night. None of us were drunk by any means. We were sitting at the bar to the left by the window where the waitress seated us. The “bouncers” told us we were in the way of staff by sitting there but didn’t offer us any other seating. After 2 drinks the “bouncers” told the waitress we were “cut off” and kicked us out for being in the way of staff. If this is a means for cutting us off and kicking us out then we should not have been sat at that area. There are so many amazing bars in Boston. Please do not waste your time at this bar.

Mediocre atmosphere. Decent music. Bouncers were ridiculous - forced out by them as we were ‘asked to leave’. No one was drunk. Only had 1-2 drinks there over a 3 hour period. We were told we were asked to leave when we tried to order another drink with the server. She agreed with us but ‘didn’t have a choice’. Wouldn’t come back here out of principle.

Had 2 drinks with friends on a Friday night. We were having a good time but completely sober and coherent but were unfortunately seated at a table that was “inconvenient” for the “bouncers”. If that’s what we can call them. We tried to order a third drink and were told by our very sweet waitress that she wasn’t allowed to serve us because the “bouncers” cut us off. She said it was not her decision and the “bouncers” told her to do so. I’ve never in my life been cut off at a bar. I 10 out of 10 do not recommend going here unless you can find a seat that the “bouncers” do not deem inconvenient for them.
My friends and I just visited the beantown pub. They have a table to the left side on the bar walking in that the waitress sat us at. Unfortunately, you are unable to stand at this bar that they have built there. We do not recommend sitting at the area for you will be kicked out for being “in the way of staff”. My friends and I had only had 1-2 drinks that night. We do not recommend this bar for the poor costumer service of the “doormen”. There are plenty other bars with great costumer service in Boston. Please avoid.

I walked in after The Rupaul Show at The Orpheum tonight. I ordered Calamari To-Go. Very bland very tasteless and the Calamari was JUST the rings. Small portions as well.

Refusing active duty military guys to eat dinner because they’re 18 is a joke. Anti military establishment

server barely shows up. would probably have ordered twice as many drinks if anyone showed up to take my order. if you go to the bar when you're tired of waiting, they send you away and tell you the server will be around shortly. the server shows up when you're least expecting, and if you don't manage to flag them down you're out of luck. our friend was with us, who is of age, but was not drinking, and as such did not have an id with them. and the server constantly harassed us to make sure they weren't drinking. like you can't be bothered to show up to take our order, but a 23 year old orders regular iced tea and you come down to make sure they're not drinking alcohol? and THEN you have a mandatory tip on your receipt? absurd.

Busy place on a Friday night but we had great food! I had the lobster grilled cheese on rye with a side of Boston baked beans. My wife had the lobster roll. Both were fantastic and I only wish we could have tried other menu items as well.
