We had a fabulous experience last night at ZUMA celebrating my husbands birthday. The service was outstanding- I am pregnant and our server was so accommodating to ensure I had an excellent meal given some of my restrictions. The food was out of this world!
Abby did a good job picking out items from the menu for me. Everything was superb and great quality. I would only want better quality chopsticks instead of the wooden ones.
Zuma Boston is quite good. Yes, there are some pricey dishes that I find pretty mid — particularly the warm dishes and kushiyaki — although the same could and is often said about Nobu. Overall, the fish quality is consistently excellent, and there are endless things to try throughout the menu. The food is generally great.
There isn’t much competition in Boston if you’re looking for that sophisticated, lively experience — I don’t see anything else coming close.
If you’re dining solo, you’re likely to meet interesting travelers staying at the Four Seasons. The staff makes you feel welcome and I often opt to Zuma if dining alone.
The waitstaff are highly trained professionals and consistently kind. The front-of-house, however, is consistently not the most friendly/standoffish — to the point where it feels intentional, which is kinda the worst part of the restaurant.
The DJ and soundtrack is often amazing.
The interior design is timeless and beautiful.
Overall, from a management/business perspective, it’s a masterclass — impressive to see a chain restaurant run this well for so many years.
It’s still one of my favorite restaurants in Boston, Dubai, and London. I’m yet to be disappointed there.
They let me wait for around 40 minutes, I did not take the table after all and decided to leave and never try that place again..
Food was ok but overpriced. Somewhat loud environment.
Thank God it exists. Make more bar stuff open in FS.
Extremely disappointing experience at Zuma Boston.
I had a reservation at 8:30 PM and didn’t get seated until 9:10 PM. No one apologized or even acknowledged the delay. The manager was dismissive and unprofessional ,as if we were the ones at fault. I came with guests, and it was incredibly embarrassing to be left standing at the entrance for 40 minutes while people who arrived after us were being seated. No explanation, no courtesy. For a restaurant of this caliber, this kind of treatment is both unacceptable and humiliating. I truly expected better.
My server was so amazing, patient, detailed with the menu when asked and she was very attentive. Our table was cleared at any time food was finished followed by the next entree. I wish I could remember her name because she was amazing! Drinks and food were also 10/10 as always. Zuma never fails me!
The food and ambience was great. The service was terrible but I don't really care. People are tired!

We celebrated my mom's 50th birthday. Food was amazing, service was A1, and the drinks were very well thought through and executed well. The general manger quickly corrected a table placement hiccup and definitely made up for with rounds of apps and desserts. We will definitely be back again!
The menu was fun and eclectic. Very good. Service was great. Way overpriced. I don't expect value from an establishment with such a big reputation that's also sharing space with the most expensive hotel in the city, but c'mon guys. This place is for the A List crowd, celebs, and the one percenters. Two people, a starter, some sushi, a veg dish and one wagyu selection, no alcohol -- $550 without tip.
I have been to Zumba's all over the world while th Ambience and crowds are similar everywhere somehow food isn't .. the Boston location food quality was good to very good but not excellent line it is in London , Dubai or New York location
One of the best meal experiences in Boston. The service was impeccable (given multiple people were serving and playing different roles, they didn't step on each other's toes). The gin martini was so delicious, as were all the dishes we ordered. We sampled some appetizers, food from the grill and sushi. The food items were beautifully displayed. We were there on a Monday night so the noise level was good. I recall another time it did get quite loud a bit later. The menu font is on the small side so just be sure to bring your reading glasses. I would consider this a "treat" as it is pricey (it was my birthday).
Unfortunately had to return the wine glass twice because it had traces of the cork. Manager came out to apologize and asked if I wanted the third glass but way too late as we had already finished the meal. No discount was offered or anything for the trouble. Zuma was one of our favorite restaurants so this was quite the disappointment.
