We stopped for some fish and chips. Not a long wait and nice out door seating. The fish and chips with fries were very good. Clam chowder was delicious.

The food is always fresh especially the fish and chips. I had plenty of fish on the Cape but Barlows always stands out to be a notch up on other clam shacks. Can not find a better tasting fish than Barlows The Clam Chowder is made fresh daily and the way chowdwer should be made Not to thick and a little bacon in it to really bring out the flavor A lot of stock in the chowder and very flavorful . Will not find to many places with chowder this good The service is exceptional and friendly. The family is always nice and pleasant to talk to . You will always feel welcome at Barlows Clam Shack.

Our first time dining at Barlow. The food was fresh and delicious. The fish sandwich with fries for $14. Is very reasonable for the Cape.
The dining area was clean and had a nice view of the canal. A little dated but that honestly adds to the charm of the place.

Located on the side of the road with a small parking lot, Barlow's had good fried clam strips and fresh fried fish. They offered fried seafood, not baked. The thin onion rings were really good. Orders came with a small container of coleslaw. The lemonade was good. We liked Barlow's better than East Wind Lobster Grille since the the seafood batter was not fried as hard/crunchy.
You order at the counter, then someone will bring it to your table. It is a casual cafe decor with items for sale.

Good clam cakes (but we wish they were bigger!) and I loved the local artisan gifts being sold. The family working there are a delight!
Parking: Just thought to pull out into traffic- no fault of the restaurant, just a fact to be aware of.
Kid-friendliness: The staff is so kind and down to earth, it's just the place I'd feel comfortable bringing young kids
Wheelchair accessibility: While officially ADA compliant, I think it might be difficult to maneuver around in a wheelchair or walker.

Everything you want a clam shack to be. Excellent food, friendly staff, family run. We have been driving by for years and are glad to have finally stopped. Best clam shack experience I have had anywhere on the Cape.

Honestly the nicest folks you will ever meet, in a picture perfect environment. Their lobster rolls might be the best on the cape!
