“Great spot in Bourne if you're craving a South Shore style pie. Friendly staff with a great vibe. The pizza has a nice buttery crusty bite while the cheese and sauce are a perfect blend, not sloppy or too gooey. It was my first time trying this place but I'll be back anytime I'm in the area.”

“I like The Bog Tavern and meet friends there, often for lunch. Like today~for my birthday! I should have gone with my gut and ordered my usual fried chicken sandwich instead of the Lobster Roll, which was a ($38.00) Lunch Special. I was speechless when our server(amazing Jordan) brought it out. It was a mealy, measly serving of lobster meat on a limp roll, with no lettuce to hold it together. And it tasted bland. Bog: Summer is almost here~ you need do to a MUCH better job with the classic Cape Cod Lobster Roll ~or take it off the menu!”

“Incredible service!! We had a large group and we were able to sit wherever, and our waitress was so wonderful. Super attentive bringing everyone coffees/waters/cleaning plates without feeling rushed. The best though — they have a short stack “Mickey” pancake on the menu, I commented to my friends I wanted that as a full stack but didn’t say anything when I ordered. When my pancakes were brought out, they were MICKEY PANCAKES 🥹 Just really fun and thoughtful, something I would have never expected. we were so grateful for a really great breakfast with friends :)”

Definitely NOT just an average Irish/sports bar. The food was superb, so much so I asked our server to find out how the chef made the brussel sprouts, and the baked cod is a must!!

“I worked with the Perkins Family for 15 years of my life! Many trips with ed jr down the cape and he has always had a passion for cooking and we had many conversations about it on our trips back n forth from the cape! I had lost touch for awhile and had heard ed jr had his own restaurant now and we had recently gone down the cape to visit my girlfriends dad at the military cemetery and we made sure we stopped in to check it out and im not surprised that his presentation and food is so good! So happy to hear of your success Ed and we will definitely be going back as much as we can!!🫡”

“I always get takeout here and it’s consistently super fresh and great tasting. Their curry is fantastic. I suggest takeout as their dining area is dark and filled with random cardboard boxes and misc items. Don’t let the restaurants look fool you, they have great food!”

“Ok they have one of the better fried chicken wings of any American Chinese place I been all these years. Just think of it as “Popeyes fried chicken” in a Chinese hole in the wall near the Cape. So if you got a craving then this is the perfect pre-cape meal before you head over the bridge for the long weekend of summer seafood shacks, or you can go after a long weekend of over indulgence of seafood shacks and lobster rolls.

It’s quick cheap and completely satisfying. Worth checking out around lunch time as I see a lot of locals come by for takeout orders. Only got 2 tables with a 4 seater and a 6 seater. Dont expect more from a hole in the wall. 4 out of 5 for a hole in the wall is as good as you gonna get in my book.

Remember the Popeyes fried chicken wings. Can’t attest to anything else on the menu. It’s American Chinese not Chinese Chinese food. Enjoy!!”

“I called in an order for 2 small Steak, Cheese and Mushroom subs this afternoon 1/28/23…..First of all we thought they were Delish!!! “My favorite location, building architecture and atmosphere. Like to get my coffee and go down the hill and check out the Canal. Mature trees by drive thru window( correctly pruned to raise canopy) are a big part of the “Solid feel” of this one.”
