“As a special treat we went through the drive through on our way to summer camp. No line, speedy service. Katelyn took the time to engage with my little one while we waited for our hot items. At the end of our exchange, as we pulled away, he exclaimed "I really like her!" He went on to say "she was nice and confident, she must be the boss. And if she's not the boss she should ask to be the boss" - Bob, age 6”
“This is my husband and I favorite spot on the Cape. We always enjoy it every time.I had the lobster roll which is the best in New England and my husband had the Scrod. Spectacular view and excellent server Jamie . It's pricey but so worth it!”
“This restaurant is the BEST local breakfast place. Service is always excellent no matter what server you get! Very consistent and the girls are all friendly. The food is always prepared very well with large portions. I have been a customer since the start of the business and have never had one bad meal or service.”
“I love everything about this place!! The cozy, quaint atmosphere paired with the stellar tunes makes for a unique experience. I feel at home as soon as I walk in. The servers always greet you warmly and are attentive to your the needs and requests of the table. They are personable and professional and make you feel welcome. The menu is just as special. Each dish is carefully crafted. The chefs prepare each plate with love and passion for what they do. I have tried most items on the menu, and each time I am beyond impressed. The steaks are out of this world. Hands down the best steak I have ever had.Do not miss the opportunity to try this place. You won’t regret it. I promise.”
“We took a wrong turn, saw a sign for artisan breads, and followed our hearts (and the signs) right to this amazing little hot spot. There were four other clearly loyal customers in line and the mood and tone of the place was very congenial. Naturally we broke into the baked goods right away and WOW! So so good. We especially recommend the sourdough bread if that's your jam. No doubt about it, we're their newest regulars!”
“I’ve always watched reviews about crumble cookies cause the closest one is 45mins away. But I’m so glad I decided to actually try it for once to see what the hype was about! I love them!Kid-friendliness: All the employees are great!”
“Really cute coffee shop. They do everything visibly and sustainably in-house, from roasting the beans to baking their baked goods. I got a pour-over and it was presented in such a cute way.”

“Nestled in the heart of Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts, Rod and Rail stands as a culinary sanctuary, exceeding expectations under the exceptional guidance of owners Matt and Jen Hennessey. During my 10-day business sojourn, this haven not only exceeded expectations but redefined the essence of hospitality, weaving an unforgettable tapestry of flavors and camaraderie.Upon entering, the Hennesseys' warm embrace transformed a mere visit into a feeling of being welcomed into an extended family. Their genuine passion resonates throughout, making Rod and Rail an unequivocal home away from home. The culinary delights, such as the masterfully crafted Smash Burger, the triumphantly flavorful Fried Chicken Sandwich, the tantalizing Pulled Jerk Chicken Sandwich, the hearty Fish Chowder, the addictively crispy Double Fried Cajun French Fries, the satisfying Steak and Cheese Sandwich, and the bold Spicy Street Noodles, showcase Matt's culinary prowess. Yet, it's not just about the food; the entire experience is meticulously curated by consummate hosts. In this symphony of excellence, the note of exceptional service is played by none other than the remarkable bartender, Allie. Her awesomeness and hospitality enhance the experience, turning each visit into a journey of delightful conversations and expertly crafted libations.Like a modern day Cheers, where everyone knows your name, Rod and Rail fosters a sense of community and familiarity that transcends the typical dining experience. Matt and Jen Hennessey, alongside the exceptional Allie, aren't just orchestrators of a dining experience; they are architects of cherished memories. Rod and Rail becomes more than a destination - it's a sensory adventure where flavors, atmosphere, and genuine hospitality converge, leaving an indelible mark long after the last bite.In the tapestry of my 10-day stay, Rod and Rail, guided by the incredible trio of Matt, Jen, and Allie, emerged as a beacon. “Cape Batter has been my go to for special treats, birthday cakes and party favors! I cannot recommend Natasha enough. The design process is always on point & exactly what I want, the delivery is timely and the wrapping is so beautifully done! It is so helpful to have Cape Batter as a reliable source!! ”
“There is a reason this place has great reviews! It's fantastic! Between the great pastries, awesome coffee, incredible salads, and outstanding sandwich offerings, you can bet everyone in your party will be happy. I have been to this place many, many times over the years, and it has always been top-notch.”
“Delicious breakfast! The menu has many options to choose from. I would definitely recommend the pancakes, hash , and omelettes. The cornbread was not with the upcharge of $3. Food came out really fast, despite how busy they were (30 minute wait on Sunday morning) The waitress was very friendly. It has such a cozy atmosphere, like you're in a New Hampshire log cabin!”
“I highly recommend the Honey Pork Stir Fry. Everything we ate was delicious! Pineapple fried rice, Lo mein with chicken and the Curry dish with crispy pork, potatoes and carrots were the other three dishes we had.”
“We have passed by this place a number of times and never went in. I will not pass it again. first off the beet salad and Caesar salad were wonderful. Very fresh, unique with the salad having pistachios, and the Caesar salad having these great flat croutons. Very tasty.. we ordered the margarita pizza as it was good Friday. This was exceptional with a very crispy thin crust. They had a special on a German chocolate cake which we decided to share. This was exceptional. I hope they put this on the menu as a regular. The coconut was enhanced with sea salt and caramel which made it extra special. The staff was very attentive, the atmosphere is kind of special. A mix between art deco, and 60s vibe. Very unique. Don’t pass by this place.”
“The service was very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent with very large quantity. I only ended up eating about half of my plate. This place was as good as all the other people have raved about.”
“Nice place with friendly people. Menu was creative but lacked just a bit in execution. Scallops were a bit under cooked and not as sweet as you would expect. Asparagus was just a bit under cooked but far better than over cooked. The pave potato was really good but a small portion. Burger and truffle fries were spot on.”
“Father’s is one of the first places that we went to when we first moved to the Cape and didn’t have access to a kitchen yet. We fell in love immediately and it is one of our go-to spots. We have yet to have anything that we haven’t loved, but personally I love the poutine (even as a meal option). Highly recommend Father’s!”
“After going to the movies on 3/23 with my husband and our friend, we came here for dinner. I got the steak bomb sandwich, and when I got it, I noticed a hair in my sandwich and told our waitress, and she made me another new sandwich. And she apologized, and the peanut butter milkshake is delicious. I would definitely come here again. My husband and our friend liked what they got to. I wish I remembered our waitress name but she was awesome”
“Best Diner on Cape Cod. Their specials are the best thing on the menu and change often so you never get bored. The vibe is homie like a well-dressed living room, feeling very inviting. The staff were absurdly friendly, and the place also serves as a bakery with a variety of different delicious goods. The loaded hashbrowns was the best I've had outside the deep south. I could not recommend this place or their food enough.”
“We had the back room for a retirement party, it was great. There was plenty of room for roughly 50 people. The food was very fresh and plentiful. Drink orders were served immediately. The staff was extremely polite, professional and attentive. This is a great place to have a special event or just a night out for dinner.”
“The food is always fresh & fantastic. The restaurant is always clean and although it's a small building , there is quite a bit of seating and a bar area if you prefer to sit there. We've always had great service even when they were unexpectedly understaffed with call outs. Great sushi.”
“Very cute spot! Friendly people behind the counter, good selection of chips and drinks. The Italian was missing provolone but maybe you have to ask for that to be added on not sure. Otherwise it tasted great.”
“I was working in the area and after work i decided to stop and eat something before heading back home to springfield ma. Im glad i did stop here at this place, i order a large pepperoni pie and the lady started making it. The pizza was thin the slices were big, the cheese and the sauce was delicious with a few tomatoes chunks. I took a few slices back home and later that night my wife pre heated them and she even made a comment of how good the pizza was. The only thing i would have change was the pizza had no crust but thats not a deal breaker for me here since the pizza was that good. If you in the area and looking for a good pie try this place. Next time im back there i will deff hit this place again and maybe buy an extra pie to take home ( the pizza here in Springfield Ma is trash i lost hope out here)”
“Good wholesome breakfast! As my grandmother said it'll stick to your ribs it'll keep you going good food, good service. What more do you want at 6 o'clock in the morning?”
“Full of comfort food. Reasonable price, didn't leave hungry. Coffee was hot and good. Place was busy Breakfast Sandwiches,Farmers Omelet,Corn Beef Hash & Eggs”
“Cafe Riverview deserves you going out of your way to support this wonderful coffee shop, sandwich and breakfast shop. Staffed with special needs young adults from the Riverview School under excellent management. You can have a great breakfast or lunch. Fantastic coffee and do something good with your dollar spent.”
“When I was in college, this place definitely had a cult following. You know it's real when people would prefer to go to Marylou's over Dunkin'. My friends and I decided to stop by this location on our way back to Boston from the Cape. The drive-thru was really convenient, especially since we were trying to beat the traffic. The vibes were really fun with pink accents at the pickup area. All the drinks were delicious, as expected. I especially enjoyed my Iced Chai, which had the perfect levels of spice and sweetness. My friends also liked their coffee drinks, especially with all the funky flavor options. The drinks were of a decent size and didn't have an overwhelming amount of ice. Great place to stop by if you're looking for something a bit different to kickstart your morning!”
