We had a great time. We were meeting some friends and the staff were super supportive that we weren't the full compliment yet. The apps were great. We were seated right over the river.

Best lobster roll in the area! And don't forget the swordfish sandwich and the local oysters. Lovely spot and view on the bay.

First our first time everything was a vibe from the music to the people. Ashley our hostess was so nice and tentative.

Multiple reviews about their scallops, we had them tonight and they were small and tasteless. Great Scallops should be a no brainer for this location given its proximity to New Bedford.

Saturday evening, Thanksgiving weekend 2025. My wife & I decided to head to the Lobster Trap (from Plymouth) for some Fish & Chips. Way more crowded than expected so take-out seemed like a good idea. NOT! Prices keep going up and to our surprise the food was not good - In fact, it was simply lousy. $70.00 for two orders of F&C add onion rings and a $3.00 tip. It's not so much the outrageous price, it's what we didn't get for a lot of money! Fish was way over cooked & leathery, French fries were an after thought, kinda like fried corrugated, and even their vaunted onion rings were sub-par, not what we've come to expect. Sorry Lobster Trap, but you've done me wrong. Think about this... I can get lousy Fish and Chips for about half your price & much closer to home...

This is my new favorite place for seafood on Cape Cod! Both of our fish dinners were amazing! The service was very attentive and the atmosphere was perfect! We will be back!

By far the best lobster rolls I've ever had. They're HUGE and flavorful. A little pricey but the quality is perfect.

Summer of 69

We've been coming here for well over a decade probably almost 20 years in the last year or so the food has really gone downhill drastically. We ordered a favorite of ours the calamari and it was very heavy battered and really greasy. They used to make a delightful Asian infusion with sweet chili sauce but now it's fried hot peppers and calamari they put aoli on top of it which makes it even more Gracie just felt yucky after eating it it tasted like grease. We ordered the fish tacos as an entree and it was just soggy and had pretty much raw cabbage it was lukewarm. We ordered the grilled salmon and it had a slatter of brown sauce on it which didn't taste good. Presentation and taste is mediocre at best we won't be returning for a while. Picture is fish taco, it should have color. Add some cilantro in red cabbage and maybe pineapple to give it some color just blah blah blah and it was covered in mayonnaise sauce whatever they use.

This is a great place to go for a nice seafood dinner, relax and have a glass of Chardonnay
November is much quieter than the summer vacation time but equally as good and less of a wait time

The Lobster Trap is a bit of an institution, and its reputation is well deserved. We kept it simple and ordered steamers and 1 1/4 lb lobsters. It was a classic order, and we were satisfied with everything. The wine and beer selection is good. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. Prices were a touch steep, but not out of control. If you can get a window seat the water views are nice. I am sure it gets super crowded in season but we were seated immediately for a mid-week lunch in Nov. it’s nice that they are open year round.
