I was on the fence about ordering takeout from here but then I saw the owner’s response to a spam review from that rude woman. He told her he hopes she steps on a Lego, and I knew immediately I needed to try the food. Worth it. I’m extremely picky about fish and chips, especially the Americanised version which is without a beer/thick batter and tends to be much lighter. I am not pleased with most places fish and chips around here. This fish was cooked to perfection. The flavor is incredible, the fish is fresh, the fries are shoestring-ish and they are also cooked perfectly. The serving is also large, enough for two to split. I do wish I was given an option for maybe an old bay tartar sauce but the dish speaks for itself. You have a new customer, I’m sold. I’ll be trying more food in the future with my family. Keep it up, guys.

Highlights: typical food prices, huge portions, nice beer selection, outstanding burger, solid pizza.

Ignore the “bad” parking situation. God forbid you have to walk 5 minutes. There really is ample parking around, again, you may have to walk a couple minutes.

This is a nice change over the taco bar concept that it took over. Same owner group. Excellent attentive service. Nice bar with additional high tops behind it. Great tv behind the bar, ideal for sporting events. The patio will be gray in the summer. They seem to have plans to elevate the patio for the upcoming outdoor season.

100% would recommend checking this spot out.

Went for the first time to try something new . I don’t complain about prices at all so it is what it is for price but the options . Wow a single taco 7.00 and it looks like a mini taco any normal person would need atleast 4 to 5 tacos to feel full . The chicken tortilla soup was so salty I think the salt intake was definitely achieved for the month on that one bowl. When brought to the waitresses attention we get what do you want me to do. Hmm let me see maybe water it down . It was just over the top pure salt. I have to say I don’t think I would go back just because of the waitresses attitude. The place is very cozy and cute but that’s about it. I have to say I think you are better off somewhere more authentic .

Went around 5pm on a Saturday night to try a new place and get my weekly fix of Mexican food. Parking can be tricky here, there are commuter train lots which I figured wouldn’t be in use but you might have to walk be prepared. When we entered we asked for a low top table and were directed upstairs, there’s no low tops on the main floor so shorter people beware. The menu wasn’t difficult to go thru, it was well layed out and a tad difficult to read, we weren’t the only couple using our phone to read. We ordered some drinks which are definitely the reason to come. A flight of margaritas and an Orange Crush. There flight was awesome but my Orange crush was VERY sweet, had to order a seltzer to offset it. We skipped on the chips and guac, no way I could justify $15! And from what I saw on other tables it was a wise skip. My wife ordered a few tacos and she best described them as something that was prepared off of a steam table. My Smoked Brisket Burrito contained a very moist pulled brisket with seasoned rice and black beans in a grilled burrito. The smoked brisket wasn’t really smoked brisket but tasted more like Boston butt pulled pork. To summarize this place, if I got off the train and wanted to go for some higher end quick drinks before heading to El Sarape, this would be the place to do it

I expected a lot better, this place is all flash and trend, no substance. I ordered three tacos, one chicken, one fish, and one special which was a Big Mac taco. The chicken taco tasted like tuna salad, the fish taco was a 3 inch cube of fried fish in the middle of a tortilla with garnishing, and the Big Mac taco was purely off the shelf taco seasoning, like McCormick. Almost insulting, in my opinion.

I had a couple of cocktails too. Orange Crush, which was very tasty, but quite sweet and weak. The other was El Viejo, probably the worst cocktail I've ever had in my life. I never send things back, and I took one sip and refused it. I know mezcal is smokey, but they used a cocktail smoker on the glass as well and didn't bother to say that in the description. I smelled like a campfire the rest of the night!

All flash, this place will be gone in a couple of years.

Celebrated a friend’s milestone birthday with a brunch. I could not be more pleased with the service and extra details to make the celebration special such as a personalized birthday note on the menu. The food and drinks were excellent. I recommend the breakfast bowl and cowboy coffee.

I'd definitely come back again, esp since it's local for me. The nachos were tasty, great puffy fried chips and presented well. I would like to try another protein next time, I thought the ground beef was a little mushy and too salty for my liking. The chicken bacon quesadillas were a little too bland, we couldn't taste the bacon and the chicken needed more seasoning. But asking for a side of the guacamole, salsa, lime creama , and hot sauce made the dish more delicious and I would get it again, but only with the add-ons, which added some to the price, but worth it. The margheritas were very well made. Fresh and mixed from scratch, no pre-made bottle mixers. I wouldn't have ordered it, if it were. We sat at the bar, it had more space from where they originally were going to seat us between others, it was a bit tight, so having the option at the bar was perfect. All the staff were friendly, but not overbearing. The menu is a bit limited, but in time maybe it'll grow or since its my first time, they may rotate it out and I'm just unaware of it. Having the public parking behind the building is helpful since street parking in front can be limited. I'm hoping this establishment does well.

This burrito should be called the ‘Rice Burrito’ because there’s literally no chicken in it.
