We have been to Uno Mas several times since moving into the neighborhood in January 2025 and every time has been a fantastic experience. The food is authentic, fresh, delicious, and the prefect quantity; the service is awesome— attentive, friendly, and professional; and the atmosphere is modern, stylish, and yet cozy! The open concept layout, high ceilings, and wall art is the icing on the cake. We never bring home leftovers because we never have anything left on our plates! #delicious

My go to restaurant is Cielo in Braintree but wanted to try this place for a while now. I like the atmosphere of this place and the set up. $14 I thought was a lot for chips and salsa with guacamole. Cielo they give you free chips and salsa. I ordered the chicken and rice bowl which was pretty good however the 2 margaritas I ordered I was not a fan of. Between my husband and I we ordered 4 drinks all of them were not good at all. Glad I tried this place but it was a once and done for me

The food was absolutely disgusting how are you going to open a Mexican restaurant and not know how to cook it!!! No seasoning no taste and they just throw stuff together and call it good, no thank you my husband got tacos with two pieces of the smallest steak bites I ever seen he got 3 orders of it and was over 100 dollars birra tacos was so gross I had to send it back the juice was just beef broth two pieces of onions in it the meat was so gross dry and just tasted old like it was just sitting there it was not good I don’t know how they can call it that they Evan cut it like in 4 pieces and just plain no nothing on them we won’t be going back I’ll go to ceilos in Braintree where they actually cooked Mexican food properly, look at the other reviews and see the owner’s response your upset because the food is disappointing and very expensive and we are giving honest reviews and your upset listen to your tone of voice while speaking to the people who are reviewing your food!!!!!!!!

A couple of us went there for Cinco de mayo and although it was busy we got our food and drinks pretty quickly. Everyone loved the tacos they ordered and especially the Churros for desert. Parking might be an issue but we decided to pay $2 and park in the MBTA lot. The entire staff was very nice which is always nice. Definitely will return.

I ordered a quesadilla ($16), and assumed chips and dip would come with the meal. It did not. In fact, they didn’t put ANY salsa, guac, or dip of any kind alongside the quesadilla. Just two lime wedges.

I ordered the insanely expensive $14 chips and dip appetizer, because I really wanted some salsa to go with my quesadilla, and I was hungry enough to eat some chips.

I said “I’d love chips and salsa”. She said “we have that. It comes with guac too but if you want some queso we can do a little of all three as well, no problem.” I didn’t ask for queso, it was suggested, and I said “okay. That sounds good.”

The chips came, and I said “you know, for $14 I thought this was a crazy expensive appetizer, but it is a big portion.” She said nothing.

The bill came. $38 instead of $30!!! That means the appetizer of chips with a few dips came to $22?! MORE THAN THE QUESADILLA??

I left no tip. I don’t do that ever, but when a server charges you half the prize of the dish for adding one dip, and doesn’t bother to tell you?! That’s really bad service.

But also: how does a taco place simply not serve salsa or guac with a quesadilla?! And then charge soooo much to ask for them ($6-$8?!)

I thought my lunch would be a normal price ($16). Then paying for chips felt like a lot ( $14 is crazy for an appetizer of chips, but I was hungry). But my lunch came to $38?!

I know a great taco place near my house that makes quesadillas, chips and salsa included, for $12 a meal. This is highway robbery. Go elsewhere. I just spent my groceries on a meal, and it wasn’t even amazing. It was just okay 🤦‍♀️.

I almost always leave five star reviews (check my other reviews). The fact that I didn’t here says something.

Due to the rude response of the owner, who clearly doesn’t care if his servers charge extra prices without telling his guests, I’ve passed this review along. My friends and I will not return. It’s one thing to make a mistake. It’s another to be mad at your customers for calling you out on it. I DID tell my servers (apparently this respondent) how upset I was. The response was “sorry.”

To overcharge and then do nothing about it it?! That’s why the review.

I lost my job recently, so, no, I don’t tip on top of being charged $8 (nearly 1/3 the cost of my meal) MORE than I agreed to pay. To ask your customer to swallow your incompetence is proof of an entitlement that I don’t want in the service industry. Plenty of better options.

You asked for recs! Lunita in Quincy. Quesadilla is $13.50, and it comes with sides.

Oh! And, yes, my quesadilla was delicious dipped in salsa (that’s why I bought the salsa and chips).

And groceries? Trader Joe’s baby!!! $45 for my week worth btw.

I was on the hunt for the perfect Taco Tuesday and stumbled upon this adorable gem! From the eye-catching marketing to the cozy, aesthetic vibes of the restaurant it was vibe.

The food was incredibly tasty, atmosphere was on point, and while I wish our server brought a bit more energy to the table (because great service = great tips ), the manager really stepped up and turned our first visit into a memorable one.
We’re definitely coming back! I can’t wait to celebrate Cinco de Mayo at this cool new spot!

Overall, the atmosphere was great, the location was even better, and the service was great. I would definitely recommend it.

They are just a few things away from a 5 star, in my opinion.

They could use more TVs as I can see this as a destination for drinks and apps during any game nights.

The food could use more of a latin taste vs. being americanized.

Overall parking is great and free. Either in the back or in the T lot.

The food was flavorless and I did try a variety of the menu items, 6 diff tacos- (my carne asada was still alive way too red for my liking I didn't eat it), birria quesadilla , egg rolls. The only items I would recommend are the churros and the water.

I hate to rip up a place that seems to be trying, as the service and ambiance were more than fine... But the food was pretty bad and largely ill conceived.

I got one of each of the tacos. None of them were fully realized. They all just had one flavor. The only two I really enjoyed were the old school and the fajita. Not worth going out for. The chips were gross. Yes. They messed up chips. The salsa was off and the guac was totally unseasoned. The desserts were bordering on disaster. And, they were all big enough for a three or four top, and the waitress let us order four.

I think this place is new. I hope they get it together. Until they do, you are better off at... pretty much any other mexican place.
