I came in recently for the 1st time with my friend and pup. The bartender Matt was really helpful and super nice.. especially to my dog, Abby. The vibes were cool and the beer was tasty. I enjoyed Blue Comet and my friend liked the Riff City. We'll be in again for sure!
Not child friendly on busy Saturdays
Terrific beer is the headline.
My wife and I can all the way from Pennsylvania to visit family in Massachusetts, and, based on recommendations from beer loving friends, visited Widowmaker Brewing. Tasted a few beers, two terrific New England IPAs and a stout, then took a pint outside in the rain for a burger at the food truck, terrific times two. Special shoutout to Keith who helped us navigate our tastings then purchases around a special event. Keep it going.
This brewery just off the 93 in Braintree is a wonderful treat in this area with so many other well known big craft breweries. They just celebrated their 7th anniversary and based on the quality and selection they will be around a very long time. I have been in this area 2-3 times a year for the last 5 years and somehow (embarrassed to say) this was my first visit. They have some wonderfully reviewed beers on UnTappd and for very good reason. They have a very spacious tap room as well as a very nice outdoor space, and a very large selection of beers on tap . The beers stand on their own and a well crafted and delicious. Make a stop if you are traveling into or out of Boston on 93 or 95. You will not disappointed. Dogs are welcomed and the industrial warehouse is truly inviting inside.
The team at Widowmaker is the best!!! We had an event there recently and the GM was incredibly accommodating and friendly! Matt and Shane at the bar were fantastic, accommodating, patient, friendly and funny! It was a beautiful venue, and worked so well with us! Highly recommend!
Great beer selection, good music. Was quite busy on a sunday afternoon, there was also a food truck in front for food options
Not a kid friendly brewery. If that's a major criteria for you, look elsewhere. Had great experiences at Vitamin Sea and Barrel House Z with our kids, but me following right behind my kids as they walked through the basically empty brewery to walk up the "stage" where some couches are was too much kid fun for the bartender. Beer was good, experience was bad. Probably would be fine if you didn't have kids. I honestly think they should just change their policy to no kids or no kids under 5, because it's embarrassing as a parent to be called out for the kids just simply wanting to walk around the brewery (again when the place was basically empty). There are plenty of other breweries who are actually kid friendly in the area, so skip this one and go to those instead.
Good vibes and good beers
Great beer and cool vibe. Dogs are allowed here which makes it amazing!
Excellent beer. Great vibe.

Cool - more stoner metal than headbanger on a recent visit (on 4/20, so that tracks). All positive: sharp aesthetic; friendly, knowledgeable staff; plenty of parking and room for special events; food trucks; to-go options and merch; and the OG beer hearse. Similar enough to the newer Boston location that you can pick whichever is convenient, if not going for an event.
Got to Widowmaker a couple minutes after they closed for a private event. I was super bummed because we had driven down from New Hampshire eager to have a couple fresh pours. I admit, I was a little grumpy about the situation when I went to grab a 4-pack but Keith, who was working the to-go table at the time, offered to run in and grab a couple pints for me and my wife. Literally, turned what could have been an incredibly frustrating experience into one I look forward to sharing with our friends, and then returning with them in the future to enjoy a couple more fresh pours. The beers, btw, Blue Comet and a collab with Vitamin Sea, were both outstanding. Can’t wait to come back! Thanks again, Keith!
Had such a blast at Widowmaker this past Sunday!! I had never been before and what a great vibe and environment. 10/10 highly recommend checking them out!
