Down here on a long weekend from the North Shore. Absolutely amazing restaurant. The atmosphere, service, quality of food and drink are second to none. Our 2 daughters have food allergies and they accommodated them with ease. Our server George was Top Shelf all around. Best Crock of French Onion I have ever had, the flatbreads were amazing, and the martinis were to die for. When we received the tab it was very reasonable. Looking to come back tomorrow for seconds!

My husband and I had dinner here while staying in Brewster. We ordered the crispy baked potato rounds, they came without the green onions, we would say 3.5/5. They would have been better with cheese. My husband got the meatloaf, which was not as described. He rated it a 4/5. I got the pesto pasta, and the pasta was a little overdone but had great flavor. The server was also acting as the bartender and was obviously the only one working. He was amazing! He was working so hard, and his service made up for the food just being so/so. We also ordered the chocolate lava cake which was great. The restaurant itself is charming and has a lot of character.

Odd signage made first encounter difficult. Parking was not marked while the sign was on the other side of the business, along with a locked door. Waiter was left alone to bartend, seat customers, and wait on tables. He seemed stressed and unsupported by an older man who did little to assist, let alone hire additional staff. The food was adequate but fried food was dark in a poorly lit room. Menus required cellphone light. While I didn't taste the chowder, I'd give this local dive, one clam out of a possible five. I'd think twice about bringing off Cape guests here.

Outstanding food at very reasonable prices. Quaint old inn- don't be deceived by the looks it is well worth the visit. Lobster roll was huge, chowder superb and crab cake's outstanding

Incredibly rude. Hostess ignored us and refused to acknowledge us although the place was empty.
Just left this establishment. Totally satisfied. Food: Nobody in this area has anything on this place. Service: The best! Notably: George, the barkeep. Great personality, so attuned to the customer experience. He's a 10. Atmosphere: So casual, relaxed, come as yiu are. Great old time atmosphere. But, needs an upgrade. Hate to think that it's holding this place back. Will we be back? YES!

Love the place as it has that small town pub/bar atmosphere. The staff and regulars are very friendly. We haven't had a bad meal there yet.

Went to the woodshed for drinks which was good and decided to try this place for dinner. Will never go back. I ordered fish and it was stale, cold and seasoned really weird. My husbands food was also barely warm and tasted horrible. To make matters worse each plate was $27- $30 each. Spent a lot of money to leave feeling nauseous.

My husband and I stumbled across Brewster Inn and Chowder House while staying at the Captain Freedman in 1994 when he proposed. The chowder is the best we've ever had and worth making the trip from Maryland every year since.
