Very nice and cozy restaurant, good bar and great service! Food was excellent and nicely prepared! Minus 1 star though for a very sparse and disappointing selection of fish (other than shellfish) on the menu. Despite being a “Fish House”, on our visit they only offered salmon, sole, and fish & chips (plus shrimp and clams). Lots of local fish available right now in November on the Cape! (Even proclaimed in posters in the restaurant!)
It was one of the best meals we have had in a good while. The diversity of the menu was impressive. We started with the huge oysters on the half shell and an interesting take on Fois Gras, which was more a perfectly prepared goose liver than a pate but absolutely spectacular. We shared the whole Dover sole, which was prepared to perfection. Good food. Nice place.They have a rather limited menu of around six choices. I can’t say that I loved the food but it was good enough.I did like the chocolate desert.Oh and I do have to say that they have an extensive selection of whisky and (amazingly) gin. But I have to say that $36 for a nip of Yellow Spot is (pretty) outrageous.
