Top notch beer and vibes
Very European atmosphere. Great beer and board games selection.
Beer, pizza, vibe everything was great. Loved it!
I went here with my social group, we had a very bad experience. We all were ordering tons of drinks, and we were on our best behavior having a great time. However, the staff there gave our organizer and us a very hard time. They said that we’re not welcome there anymore.
Best Czech beers in Boston
Great service, great beer, great vibes, surrounded by great food - all of which is true for both locations. Really dig this place.
So the place is lovely but is the place with more rules in Boston. So first they didn’t accept dogs, apparently now they do. But now they do not accept children. So if you want to go for pizza and beer with your family you have to go before 6 or they will ask you to leave. Funny is that you keep seeing families and families arrive so they clearly don’t know that families are part of their demographics customers. Is sad to see so many people leaving because ahhhhh no freaking reason. Do not serve alcohol to children but why wouldn’t they be on the patio eating pizza ?! What’s wrong with you guys? Why make it so difficult when you could be the cool neighborhood place? Whyyyyyyyyy?!?!!? Bad commercial decisions.. I guess their loss. Ooooh latest update my son 3 years old was playing with a tiny soccer ball not bothering a soul a Wednesday afternoon super early and guess what?!? Not allowed! As everything on this place haha
They put on a GREAT oktoberfest celebration! Amazing beer and amazing vibes
Edit: I went on a Saturday night, but there was apparently a festival going on that highly impacted my experience. Updated score for accuracy.
Beer was good. Staff was good. They say the close at 11. Last call is at 10. They kick you out at 1030.
I stopped by Notch Brewing Brighton just for the beer, and I’m glad I did. I tried The Standard, Dunkel, Salem Lager, and a few others — each one showed off a different side of their lager game. The Standard was crisp and classic, the Dunkel had a nice malty depth without feeling heavy, and the Salem was super clean with a dry finish that I really liked.
What stood out to me was the consistency. Every pour was clean, balanced, and precise — which isn’t easy with lagers. There’s no room to mask imperfections, and Notch nails it across the board.
The space itself is laid-back with a casual crowd, perfect for focusing on the beer. As someone who works around flavors a lot, I really appreciate when simple things are done this well. I’ll definitely come back — next time I’ll take my time and go through the full lineup properly.

One of the few breweries left in MA that keeps it real. Truly great beer and staff. As a parent I also really appreciate their policies regarding kiddos - this is a brewery for drinking beer, not a place kids can go unsupervised.
Great staff very knowledgeable and friendly. Perfect summer spot for starters. Had some tacos and a beer with a bunch of actors...
Great place for having a couple of beers. BUT they used to have great German food as well. This year they decided to replace it by oustsourced pizza and taco standard stuff :(
If you think to bring your family please NO... zero family/kids friendly please if have kids not go..
If you are looking for a family friendly brewery…Notch is not it.
