Upon entry of the courtyard posted signs said family friendly but when entering the facility we were informed 21 and up after 6pm. Time was 6:20 and there was 2 infants in the building.

Authentic. Beautiful. Dog friendly in the beer garden.

Lovely bierhall with indoor and outdoor options when it’s warm out. I came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was relaxed and cozy. This seems like a nice spot to meet up with friends, and they have a small kitchen across the way for snacks (along with other options at the Speedway). The blood orange radler was tasty and they even had board games in the corner.

This review was made in connection with a Toast promotion.

Nice beers and outside but VERY KID UNFRIENDLY. Beware that if you are a parent and you bring your child, you need to be out by 6pm (7 days a week)

Great Czech style beer. Many lower ABv options. Notch has become one of my favorite breweries for European style beers with an American twist. Good food on site.

My husband is a brewmaster in Utah and These guys know what they’re doing, the Czech Pilsner was one of the best I’ve ever had and they pour all the beers correctly. I will absolutely come back here every time I’m in Salem.

I can’t even lie…the kolsch was the best beer I’ve ever had. It was just what I was looking for. The other beers had a similar taste profile so I actually liked all of them. The pizza from the shop in the same area was also 10/10. Definitely coming back

Not much of a food choice but the environment is nice...good beer selection

The beer was okay but overall I found the whole vibe and our interaction with the manager more than a bit depressing. We picked this place for a meeting and because it was dog friendly. As we were trying to order the manager came up and said that we could not leave our dog tied up without somebody standing right next to them. The place was empty and my dog was lying down 5 feet away tied up. This dog is rained as a service dog and would not move from the spot but the manager was very worked up and said it was because a squirrel might run by in the middle of the courtyard and everything would get pulled over by the dog because it was big. Everyone in our party was more than a bit confused by the statement and how it was delivered . We let it go and proceed to have are meeting but the manager kept cleaning around us and giving us the stink eye when near. I thought it the way they where act was crazy and even funny because strangers kept coming over to ask if they could pet the dog while this was going on. eventually the other people in our group got upset by this manager so we move across the courtyard and order from another business. It's called the Koji Club and they where wonderfull. In every way it was so much better and they where super nice. It take some serious issues to get me to move from anything let alone a beer garden but Notch Brewing wins this time. Plan to visit the koji club again. They weren't even open but asked why we move over and then offer to serve us afterwards. So nice of them.

Low ABV beers to keep you going.

I used to love Notch beers, but they got greedy. The pricing has been increased again and is now officially insane. $9 for pilsners & lagers (cheaper beer to produce)....in Brighton. There are good, local IPAs for $8 downtown, Back Bay & Fenway. Democracy Brewing downtown usually also has a $7 "workers pint." No reason for people to venture out here anymore, unfortunately.

5 stars all the way. Unique setting with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Lots of food options from them and the shops that share the outdoor seating. Friendly patrons willing to share their beer experience. Staff was awesome. Although they were very busy everyone was served quickly and they took the time to tell you about the different beers. Absolutely loved the concept of the brewery sharing outdoor space with the food shops surrounding the outdoor seating. I'm far from young but there were a lot of younger people there.

First time here. I loved loved loved my beer and the atmosphere. Also the bartender was very friendly and gave me a taste of a beer I was interested in ?
