It is NOT worth the time or money. There is no cafe. You have to go down the street if you want a coffee or tea. 4 cats that are not at all friendly. Only a few toys to play with the cats. $21.50 each ? There are so many amazing things in Boston/Cambridge to do,this is not one if them.

Franzie is such a temperamental kitty. We were worried about leaving them with a new person. They is gender queer (they/them). They gets anxious. They is named after an unfortunate incident with a box of wine when they was a kitten. LOL. Now they cannot be around any alcohol and is on some "relaxant" meds every day. We heard Purr has some experience in this area and so thought they would be a perfect fit for them. When we picked they up, they seemed a bit, I suspect, unmedicated. They were a little too aggressively sniffing my wife's mouth. She had just had a bottle of wine at a local bar. And they were acting strange. Diane was, I'm told, asleep in the back, and no one could account for the missing cat meds. I had given them a 4 day supply for 2 days. But they only charged us half price, and Franzie spent the next day sleeping in front of the TV comfortably. So 3 stars.

The cafe keeper was super friendly and explained how they were helping adopt out most of the cats there from a local shelter! I had a great time hanging out with the cats! I was missing my cat from home, and I loved hanging with these kitties. Definitely recommend coming here!

This place was really AMAZING!!! When the cats aren't sleeping, they are super playful and are always really cute!! It's not like a cafe because you can't buy food there, but you can bring your own food and eat that. This place is really nice for a birthday party and other occasions. The staff are really nice and helpful. When I was there, here were only 5 cars but cats are always being adopted from there and then the staff bring in new cats. I think that the cats are treated nicely and respectfully. It's a very free place and feels like home.

I just recently started volunteering at PURR and I love it so far! Diane is a very nice, hardworking lady and she deeply cares about the cats and what's best for them. I've enjoyed working with her and all her little kitty companions! During my time at the Cat Cafe I even found my own friend that I connected with right away, and I loved her so much I just had to take her home. So glad to say Ronni seems very happy to be with us and I would have never found her if it weren't for Diane and her cafe 💕

I stopped by PURR Cat Cafe on-spec last Friday night since I kept passing it on my bus route. It proved to be a very relaxing, highly enjoyable evening!!! All but one of the cats (because one of the cats is the owner's cat) are adoptable through a partnership with the Bay State Animal Cooperative. If you love animals, I highly suggest you stop by and bring some tea and relax with cats.

The purrcafe is a lovely addition to Boston. Diane, the owner, is warm, welcoming, very knowledgeable about each of the cats. She clearly loves them and they her. The cats have plenty of room to play with each other and visitors. Diane is warm and kind to them- clearly enjoying them. She has a large board posting guidelines for visitors about how to interact with the cats- very respectful to the cats and helpful to visitors. There's plenty of room and seats for visitors too. after making the introductions between you and the cats, she leaves you space to get to know them but remains available to answer all questions..

We have 100% oversight of our adoptable cats while allowing our kitties a great cage-free environment provided by this business. Cats that need socialization get this opportunity here. Win:Win. Separate spaces are available for those cats needing a bit more time to adapt to living with other cats here. Win:Win.
Such a fun experience! As a cat person who currently doesn't have a cat this is the perfect fix. Some cats are more playful than others but they're are all adorable. Highly recommend a visit!

Purr Cat Cafe was a wonderful experience. The cats were healthy and well-cared. Diane is a great owner who clearly loves the cats and provides them with plenty of food, entertainment, and care. As the first establishment of its kind in the Boston area, Diane is under an immense amount of pressure for simply being a trailblazer. I look forward to the growth of her business.

My son and I visited in February 2019. We had such a good time!! We brought some bubbles with us (animal approved) and almost all the kitties came out and wanted to play. The owner was very nice and introduced us to all of the babies when we first arrived and really let us just hangout the rest of the time. We didn't feel rushed at all even though we only had a reservation for one hour. I would recommend visiting to everyone! You can bring your own snacks and drinks or buy them across the street at a cafe as they do not serve any there. Shorty and Oreo were our favorites but all of them were so cute!
