We made a reservation as we were a party of 6 and sat on the second floor, which was next to the bar. We loved the character of the building, as it added to the atmosphere. The one critique was that for a cold evening, the air conditioning was on very high and blew cold air on us for the first half of our meal. The drinks were good, however they ran out of the beer two in our party were drinking, so they opted for soda instead of a second round. The loaded tots, although unconventional, were to die for and I would go back just for those! The fish tacos were okay, but would have benefited from the avocado being sliced thinner and or made into more of a guac and the plantains were strange-kind of soggy rather than crisp. They ran out of marinara sauce for the kids pasta we ordered, but the chicken fingers were good. The brisket grilled cheese was amazing and the Cajun pasta was also good. The pot pie was flavorful, but dry. Our server was attentive and got us in and out quickly, in time for the BC game we were scheduled to attend. Overall a good choice for the area and I would visit again.
Food was very good and reasonably priced. Server was friendly and efficient. We are regulars here and are always happy with our visit.
Great experience on Labor Day weekend. We sat outside and counted people carrying desks up chestnut hill avenue after a long live in day! Service was excellent and the food was warm and serviced to order, Excellent place to celebrate any occasion! Thanks Cityside, you never disappoint.
I love the Circle Tavern and their customer experience they provided me. I will always support Circle tavern. 10/10 experience

Sports bar / tavern vibe with food and drink that exceeds expectations. Great neighborhood location. Great service.
Stayed at Airbnb nearby with family. The Sunday brunch menu looked inviting and all of our meals were excellent. Quiet on 2nd level of restaurant. Thank you.
For some reason, his reservation showed canceled by the restaurant however we did dine on July 4 for lunch
I've been a couple of times and unfortunately the service is not great. I try my best to be accommodating since it's a hard job, but the most recent two times I've been it's taken a really long time to get service! Very long wait times for drinks and food.
Went for my birthday, the crew was very nice, the food was incredible and affordable, and I got a free Sunday that I got to share with my party. Overall I had a great time.
Great service and food! we were going to be late arriving to our table and requested they hold it for a bit and they did and it was a huge help

We had a wonderful family brunch today! The food was all delicious and the servers were attentive and helpful. We were very pleased with how well they accommodated our son's motorized wheelchair. Overall an excellent experience!
Told us they were full?? Literally has never happened there. Saw the bouncer start to push some girls in line which is not okay.

Cityside is a the best tavern in the Boston college area - but that is not saying much. Best option around for sure, but service is a bit slow. Food is good and well priced. Drinks a bit expensive for the area, but typical for boston.
Cityside Tavern is a casual restaurant spot in Boston's Brighton neighborhood and a great place to dine with friends or that special someone. Plenty of television screens are scattered everywhere to catch live sports action, the ambiance has the young college crowd (being near Boston College), the music is moderate in volume and the menu has many excellent food options to choose from. The restaurant is divided into two floors – one downstairs section and one upstairs section – to allow for additional seating capacity. In the summer season, an outdoor seating patio on the second level gives patrons a great view of the traffic flow through Cleveland Circle. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an upscale dining experience in one of Boston's bustling neighborhoods.
