Ordered the Tan tan with the pork belly.

Got a single slice of pork belly that was clearly undercooked.

Also I watched the waitress press down on the contents of the trash can by the register before proceeding to grab spoons and chopsticks for a table. She did not bother to wash her hands before doing this. (Tuesday, Oct 22nd, 2024, 9:15 PM)

While eating at the bar, one of the servers was yapping the entire time at the cooks trying to blame them for getting an order wrong when she was clearly at fault. Wasn’t able to enjoy my meal in peace.

This place used to be excellent but the quality has clearly gone downhill over the last few months.

I defy anyone to find better ramen in the Greater Boston Area. One look at their website will assure you of their passion for their craft, let alone the food itself. Bar-none, the best ramen I've ever had. You may feel a bit rushed to order as you do so when requesting your table, but rest assured that no matter what you choose, it will be to die for.

Had the Tan Tan ramen and it was delicious. It had the right amount of spice without being too overpowering.

Poor customer service—no one came to our table to check on us or refill our water. I can’t even say it’s better than Wagamama.

The best ramen I've ever had in Boston. The tantan is a must try. Just wish there was more seating available.

I tried the (now closed) Providence location and wasn't really impressed, so it took me 5 years to try the Brookline location. They have an online waitlist but you have to be present and ready to order when your name is called. It's quite efficient, which makes sense for a small restaurant with a lot of business!

The best thing I tried was the original chicken karaage -- it was super crispy and juicy with a wonderful ginger flavor. I also tried the extra crispy karaage, which I thought was not as good as the original because it wasn't as juicy. You can get takeout of just the chicken from their sister shop nearby, which I can definitely envision myself doing in the future.

I got the spicy shoyu ramen which was very striking in appearance -- a very bright red-orange. It had a good savory and spicy flavor, but I'm not sure if I'd get it again. It was a bit one note.

I tried a bit of the other ramens that we got and my favorite was the Gantetsu shoyu. It had a thicker broth with a deep smoky flavor. I'm not sure if I could finish an entire bowl of that richness, but that was definitely the most interesting one we tried! The other shoyu and shio ramens we got were pretty standard.

I'm not ready to say that Ganko Ittetsu is one of my favorite ramen places yet, but it's worth a visit just for the karaage...

Be ready for a wait. But well worth it. Sign up online to be added to the list to help speed up your wait. Bowls are big enough to split for two adults. Would highly recommend.

I was taken by my daughter, who really likes Ramen food. Pedi Soyu, the traditional one, with chicken, pork and egg, a hearty dish for lunch, priced at $16 per person. They speak Spanish too.
