Busy, bustling, and tucked away, Gantetsu-Ya features cosy and comforting ramen bowls in Brookline. The portions are big but the ramen was a bit too oily and the noodle texture was a little too soft for me. We also got the kaarage which was crispy but bland. Despite being told our table was ready, we still waited for 15 minutes.
This meal felt very fateful.Because I just had their takoyaki from the Boston Japan Festival.On the same day, I actually went to their ramen shop without paying special attention. It is recommended that you try both meals.
the karaage was soooooo good. juicy, unbelievably tender, all contained within a wonderful crispy-but-not-oily potato starch batter. served with a acidic soy based sauce to contrast.hope to see more people come through this place.
