I really cannot understand the hype of this place. It may be the most overrated coffee shop I’ve ever been to. I’ve been several times, thinking it MUST be a fluke. But no. The coffee isn’t good. The food isn’t good. The pastries aren’t good. The atmosphere is fine, at best. Everything is served in cheap plastic- even if you are dining in. And I’m just so bothered that people settle for this and think it’s good. of all the bad things going on in the world, at least we deserve a decent cafe.

1369 is a smaller coffee shop and cafe located within Inman Square, with other locations spread throughout the Boston/Cambridge Area.

The service was fast, friendly, and the service was busy but quick, as we got our order quite quickly.

The breads were good, pretty standard and tasty bread. The matcha however left a lot to be desired. We got an oat milk matcha latte with maple syrup added in, and unfortunately this combo didn't seem to work. It was very sweet and watered down quickly with no matcha taste. We've heard good things about the other drinks, so we'd have to try the others first, but this time wasn't appealing.

Everyone I talked to, who knows 1369, loves them. I come here at least twice a week and the bakery and atmosphere are always amazing. The drinks are great, too! They offer a large variety of drinks that everyone can find something they like in each season (their campfire cider in the fall is genius). However, the reason why I finally came to leave a review is because their EGGNOG IS SO GOOD!! I used to live upstate NY and get freshly made eggnogs from a local farm/bakery place. I haven't been able to find good eggnogs since, but today I have! So happy I live so close to them and super grateful for the staff there to help me with my request (a large cup of pure eggnogs) ❤️

I come here every week! the coffee is so good and everyone is so nice! I wouldn't recommend their breakfast sandwiches, the consistency of the eggs is...concerning and I paid almost $3 for bacon that they didn't even put on my sandwich :( I would absolutely recommend coming here for coffee/matcha/pastries etc though! great spot. :)

Always crowded local coffee shop and best ever! People are nice and funny with cozy vibes. I only drink Decaf coffee and croissant, which is great and cheap!

Visiting from Minneapolis, the turkey apple cheddar sandwich was incredible, 10/10. We also had the spicy BLT, it was decent. That turkey apple sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had. The latte I ordered had perfect texture, the espresso shot didn’t taste burnt, and the flavor was spectacular. Would definitely recommend stoping in here!

Great flat white and Ceylon iced tea.

Great coffee selection, and sandwiches and pastries are delish. The atmosphere is cozy, and music choices are the best in Cambridge, imo. The baristas are super friendly! Love that the door is always open on nice days.

My absolute favorite coffee/breakfast/lunch in the Cambridge Somerville area! I favor the avo toast, iced or hot London Fog tea, veggie sandwich & The Rocket. The chai is great too! Baked goods too. All perfect & a perfect view of Inman square from the front window or outdoors seating.

no one does an inventive, exciting beverage like 1369. it’s kind of out of the way for me to hike down, but i’ll do it whenever i have the time because it brings me an ungodly amount of joy to see what’s on that “seasonal drinks” chalkboard… and subsequently experience the execution of whatever i’m trying (the drink quality makes it obvious the baristas really know their shit). they also have one of the best bang-to-buck ratios on their yogurt parfaits, which are so solid they almost always pull my attention from the (also delicious) bagel sandwiches.
the vibes are also fantastic. there’s local art for sale, and if you have a little bit of time to sit and enjoy your brunch, perhaps with a second party, there are a couple card games and set of dominos around to add to the enjoyment.

I’ve tried a lot of ice mocha lattes with almond or oat milk in the boston area. This place has the best one.

Often crowded; drinks are better than the baked goods, I think
