Family of 4 (2 adults, 2 older teens) trip to visit colleges in Boston area. Chose this hotel for its Cambridge address in walking distance to Alewife T Station, which was via a wooded park-like path, a little eerie if walking alone late at night. Location was more remote than I expected, in an office park with no other dining options nearby (not even a Starbucks or Dunkin!), but area was nice and quiet. Room looked new and was clean and comfortable; bathroom was modern. Cool “hydration station” down the hall to fill our water bottles. First night, hotel was booked and instead of the two queens we booked, we were put into a king room and our older teens had to sleep in the sofa bed. Isn’t that why it’s called a “reservation”? Fortunately, the next night the friendly and attentive front desk staff took care of us and got us into a 2 queen room. Docking one star due to the small buffet breakfast. Overpriced at $21/per adult (x 4!), the options did not change from day to day, and there was no table service for coffee. For this price, I would have expected an omelet bar and a lot more choices. Egg cups were good, but not every day for three days; pastry choices were limited. Not surprisingly, the dining room was pretty empty despite the full hotel, and I wondered where everyone went to eat breakfast. They obviously researched that better than I did. All in all, would stay here again if in the area.

Great hotel. Modern and clean. Room was spacious. Hotel staff were top notch. Perfect location about a 10-15 min drive to down down boston’s Qincy Market. Lots of walking paths around and green space around. Restaurant was good. Very quiet at night.

We had a great offsite company meeting for 30+ people at the AC Hotel Boston/Cambridge. The location was convenient for both in-town and out-of-town participants, and the event spaces were of a good size and layout for our needs. Kristina K., our Marriott event manager, was outstanding: responsive, professional, and accommodating from the initial RFP until the event was finished. She and the hotel staff (notably Miguel in the facilities team) were also very helpful on the day of the event itself, including helping us resolve a technical problem that was our own fault. We did experience one facilities problem (faulty air conditioning in the main event room), but Kristina and Miguel figured out a way to address it quickly and effectively. We'd had one or two company events here before, and after this experience would certainly do so again.

Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff and the best breakfasts! Walking distance to our client but also many local businesses and restaurants. The place was spotless, even the exercise room. Water stations on every floor also provided carafes which was a welcome touch. Lavender pouches available each evening for those who wanted one. Rooms were comfortable with a modern aesthetic.

We stayed for 8 nights and had no complaints! Clean, modern hotel within a short walk to the T and a few restaurants. Nice big bathroom/shower! Great little bar and bistro. Would definitely recommend!

Three night stay here (Fri/Sat/Sun) for a series of business meetings in and around Harvard. This was one of the best values in hotels over this time period, when the general prices for Boston hotels were very high. I think it is excellent value and is a Marriott brand that I like, but it pays to understand what you are getting should you choose to stay here. This is a brand that seems to be going for a modern and somewhat minimalistic feel, without overly sacrificing service and amenities. The hotel is on the edge of Cambridge, in what looks like an office park. It is quite easy to find and is about 5-10 minutes walk from Alewife station, from where Harvard is about 4 stops and there is easy access to the city via the Red Line. There is parking here that is complimentary if you don't stay overnight (needs validated ticket) which was good as I held a couple of meetings with colleagues here. There is a drop off/pick up/one way circulation around the reception area that works well but can get crowded. I picked up an Uber from here no problem. The whole public area of the hotel is airy and works for multiple uses. The check in was fast and efficient when I arrived on Friday evening, and was typically staffed the whole time I was there and there never seemed to be people milling around waiting to be checked in. There is also a small bar with very nice seating areas including sofas, chairs and high-tops (the latter I used most of the day for a series of meetings on Sunday). I did inquire about conference facilities and they do have these at the hotel too so it works well as a business hotel. There is a dining area where one can partake of the buffet breakfast which is additional, at least on my rate, at $21. I don't usually eat breakfast so passed on this but note there are no obvious places to grab breakfast if you want it, outside the hotel. There is a Dunkin' Donuts at Alewife station should you so desire. There also doesn't appear to be amenities you would get in a "full service" hotel such as concierge, restaurant in the evening (although the bar does serve food), M club lounge etc. but that's not why one stays here and keeps prices reasonable. The rooms are great. Minimalist as I say. They have a faux wood floor is the best way I can think to describe it which is actually padded and cushioned with some rugs under the sofa and table that are helpfully also part of the furniture. I haven't explained that well but it is comfortable and gives one confidence that the room is clean (easier than when there is carpet) and indeed, the room was spotless when I was there. Note that housekeeping is "every other day" as you are told when checking in, therefore my room was refreshed once in the 3 nights I was there. I have no problem with this and additional service is available on demand. I like the decor, and the space of these rooms especially the bathroom which has a nice walk in shower, modern and so much more efficient than an over the tub shower and clammy shower curtain. The bathroom area closes off with a sliding, frosted glass door that works well and saves space. The whole room is efficiently laid out with plenty of USB charging sockets (at least 2 each side of the bed and others around the room too) and regular sockets. Lighting has many options that can be hard to figure out with the multiple switches but includes a motion sensitive nightlight which is a nice touch. This was one of the first Marriott beds that I've had that wasn't great to be honest (room 452 if anyone from the hotel reads this) In that the right side of the bed could only be described as having developed a crater into which one rolled if lying on that side. I prefer a hard bed myself, and the left side of the bed was fine which suggest this mattress needs replacing. Nothing major but didn't come up to the standard I expect from Marriott brands whose beds are almost universally excellent in my experience. Room comes with what one would expect including a fridge, safe, large screen TV, hangi

We unexpectedly had to stay an extra night in Boston, as we were stranded with an airline mechanical delay. Wound up at AC Marriott hotel, and was impressed. A new hotel on the west side of Cambridge, the room was nice, and staff were friendly. The European-style breakfast was also lovely. Next time I come to Boston, this hotel will be on the list!

Excellent service. The people who work here care about you. We took an early flight in from Chicago and then did a campus tour at BU. It was 2 PM and we were exhausted. We decided to check in early and take our chances. Justin was working the front desk and was super accommodating. Not only did he get us checked in rather promptly, but when I requested a late checkout for the following day, he set that up for us too! No extra charges, no attitude. Friendly smile and made it happen. Our room was exceptionally clean. After doing a quick catnap, we headed to the North End to eat a late afternoon lunch and do some sightseeing. After getting back, my teenagers were exhausted. I was still up for a drink and headed to the hotel bar where the bartender served me and was friendly all evening. We shared a lot of local knowledge about where we both live. Late dinner was good too and the selection of local beers was welcomed. Getting there while driving is a little bit of a logistics challenge. Use your GPS. Having said that, everything in Boston is a logistic challenge. Not the fault of the hotel. Just be prepared for it - especially if you are super tired.

I had an incredibly long day of traveling— multiple annoying connecting flights, multiple hassles at the airport and such; I was not in the mood for more difficulties. Upon arrival I was greeted with fascinating and visually appealing decor— instantly assuring me that I would adore my stay. When checking in, I had trouble with my bank and card; another setback I was certainly did not prepare for. The concierges’, Justin and Barbara, eased my mind and provided assistance that exceeded my expectations. Despite my troubles, they were understanding and assisted me in the check in process— assuring that everything was transparent and providing me support in solving my problem. They were patient as I made multiple phone calls, assured me that they were perpetually present for any questions. I am writing this from my room now— genuinely thankful and impressed by the professionalism and graciousness of the 2. I think exceptional customer service is under appreciated, and Justin and Barbara certainly deserve to be recognized for their prowess. I look forward to the rest of my stay, the expectations are incredibly high due to the staff I met— I am excited for the rest of my stay. (Forgot to mention, the room is incredible as well! Beautifully designed and incredibly peaceful.)

Amazing staff, large, clean rooms with a great ambience, Sean (the Task-Force General Manager) was very accommodating to my business requirements, and the boardrooms / conference rooms were very professional for my video meetings. Thank you very much to Sean and team; The indoor pool also had a great ambience and had an extremely relaxing atmosphere. The layout, amenities, breakfast and facilities are excellent and very welcoming! Thank you!
