It had been over a year since dining at Alden and Harlow. So happy to report that it's still as great as ever! We loved every dish, all the cocktails, and service! The burger remains memorable

Discovered A&H by accident and were thrilled! Great location, warm and friendly vibe, nice lighting and sound levels, gracious team, prompt service, smiles everywhere, wide menu choices, delicious food, and a good value. We will be back!!

This restaurant is so amazing. Went there with my boyfriend and we both really enjoyed it. Steak tartare was very good and fresh and had a delicious subtle smoked flavor, but contained a little too many onions for our liking. Still very good though!! My bf got the secret burger and we both agreed it was one of the best burgers we've tried! Very unique taste and perfectly cooked. I got the lumache pasta and OMG it was actually the best bowl of pasta I've ever had. Perfect 10/10. Service and atmosphere was great, a little loud since we were near a big table, but that's understandable. Will definitely come back again!!

We really enjoyed our brunch. The food was really good and reasonably priced. The service was excellent and friendly. None of us had ever heard of it before; we found it on open table and were really happy. Was energetic and a beat; a great place for friends to get together.

Secret Burger: The burger meat itself was great the rest was just doing too much. The chips were stale.
This is more of a drinking place then eating place.
Service was alright (I was with a 11 person group) usually we interact with our servers but it just seems like they wanted us to order and move on.

Hands down, best food I’ve had. And I’m a foodie and the sister of a professional chef. Try the Doc’s Order cocktail - absolutely unbelievable. Also, the inside is super vibey! Perfect for a date night.

Things started great. Polite staff, lovely ambiance... The first course, a focaccia bread, was excellent. We both loved it. Then things went downhill. The second course was interesting, but not something we'd ever order again. The third course, supposedly a butternut squash pasta, tasted like overcooked bad mac & cheese. It was inedible. Not only that, but no one ever asked if the food was good, despite it going back almost untouched. We then sat there for over 20 minutes before they came and asked us, Haven't you already paid? We hadn't even received a check. Now I am wondering if our initial expeirence was a fluke and the continued expeirence, especially the food, is a more accurate representation of what you typically get.

This is my third time at A&H and second for brunch. Ambience is classy without being over the top. The food tasted great, but portion sizes at brunch were erratic: some were basically a meal for one, otherwise were small plates. I wish our server had advised us of this when ordering, as one of us had to order another plate to have enough food. Also, most bizarrely for a nice lunch place, they don’t have an espresso machine?? So that means no cappuccino, latte etc. The drip coffee was fine, but for a restaurant that actively markets itself for brunch, this is a strange omission.

Great food and cocktails. Good for small and large patties alike. We used to do lots of company events there (about 10 people or so). Great options for veg food and fish dishes.

Disappointed by our service last night. I wasn't thrilled by any of the drink options on the menu and so I asked our server if the bartender could make a vodka martini flavored with grapefruit (which was in another drink on the menu). Without even checking with the bartender, the server was just like NO. We ordered food and as it is a tapas restaurant, things came out in a rolling fashion which was great. The food was decent but a little on the pricey side. Shout out to the basil pasta, incredible. We had ordered 2 steaks for the table to share and after about 25 minutes since the last entre had arrived, the steaks were still no where in site. We called the server over and inquired to make sure they were still coming. The server mentioned the steaks take a little longer, which seemed strange. The steaks came out about 10 minutes later and unfortunately they were not even warm. They are served with potatoes though which were piping/burn your mouth hot. Poor time management on the kitchen and communication from the server because we would have taken the steaks separate from the potatoes if asked. I would go back, but not my favorite place I've been in Harvard Sq.
