This place is great for lunch. They are so friendly and really strive to get everyone’s orders served as fast as possible. The sandwiches are huge and delicious.

Very big sandwiches, tasty

I’ll be honest I’ve never had a good sandwich here. I’ve tried a few times but the past two times I’ve went I’ve been very disappointed

This is a solid lunch spot for anyone working in the area. It's hard to get lunch much cheaper than $15-20 these days, but at least these cats aren't going to skimp you on the portions and you'll feel like you got your money's worth. Good sandwiches, good services, and a friendly crew. Definitely gets packed during peak lunch hours, so plan accordingly. You can order online in a snap and save some time, in the spring/summer/fall there are plenty of nice places to sit outside nearby.

This time I ordered the small 12' steak Belllino at the Submarine Burger specialty store on Main Street. The delicious beef is paired with fried onions, bell peppers and other vegetables, plus cheese slices. The overall taste is great. It's delicious. The small submarine burger is very filling and very satisfying. The store is very considerate. There are paper towels on the table for wiping your hands, and there is a comfortable space inside.

Great subs, but I think the original State Street and South Street locations are much better. It seems like this Tech Square location skimps out on meats and toppings. Also, it's now up to $14 plus tax for the small bag lunch (small sub with soda and chips included)! At this price, you can get more bang for your buck at other fast casual lunch spots. If $14 is the new small bag lunch price at all Al's locations, then I must say that this price can no longer live up to the "best deal in town" slogan.

Great sandwiches and lovely workers. I asked the girl with all the tattoos for a recommendation and she helped me without hesitation. Very quick service and lovely atmosphere. I had the steak bellini with provolone and it was so good!

Fire food. Undeniably one of the best sandwich places in Boston. The only issue is that there is not that much space to dine in inside. You can always take the sub and eat it outside at the Tech square lawn chairs tho.

I've placed an order for over 20 subs from Al's Cafe for our group meeting, and the food was ready for pickup exactly on time! The staff was incredibly friendly and made certain that I received the correct order. Food was great, as always!

Hands down the best sandwich in Cambridge. The ingredients taste so fresh, the bread is out of this world. My only complaint is I wish they were open longer/ more often. I love this
