I’ve been here several times, and I have to say their pizza is delicious.
The dough is perfectly crispy, and the toppings are high quality.

Unfortunately, the service is inconsistent. Some of the younger waiters seem unmotivated, not very attentive, and rarely smile, which affects the overall experience.

On my last visit, however, I was served by an older waiter, and he was absolutely amazing, attentive, friendly, and professional. Sadly, my other experiences with the service have been disappointing. I hope this can be improved, as the food itself is excellent.

Food is great, prices are reasonable too. However, I saw a kitchen staff coming out of a toilet stall without washing her hands afterwards 😱 Additionally, the restaurant was quite empty when we were there but they just had to seat other guests near us, so that the waiter squeezed behind me and kicked my chair every time he needs to get to the others.

Came here with my girl because we were craving pizza. She got the margherita while I got a pepperoni. Our craving was satisfied without a doubt. Their sourdough crust was so amazing and the pizza flavor is on another world. Their restaurants vibe was super chill and laid back. My server was so nonchalant. Dave Portnoy gotta give this place a go. I recommend it nice and hot at the restaurant rather than take out or delivery for the best pizza experience.

Wonderful experience! Went last night for New Year's Eve, and the service was great and the food was delicious. The ambience was really nice too and for New Year's Eve they included some complementary things which was really nice and made for a special night. Great for a date night or with friends and family.

Area Four, situated perfectly at 500 Technology Square, is, in my definitive assessment and based on the frequent, genuinely high-energy recommendations from the local tech crowd and foodies, the absolute top-tier destination for wood-fired pizza and artisanal cuisine, fundamentally redefining what a casual dining experience can achieve through meticulous ingredient sourcing and expert execution. Everyone I’ve spoken with consistently praises the unbelievable crust - perfectly blistered and chewy - the thoughtful and delicious combination of topping ingredients, and the fantastic, versatile space that works equally well for a business lunch or a celebratory dinner, emphasizing that the restaurant successfully maintains a high standard of flavor while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and buzzing. I’ve learned from their narratives that the vibe is one of focused culinary brilliance and effortless, modern sophistication, making it an exceptional, high-value choice for anyone who understands that great food starts with great foundational elements. My subjective conclusion is that Area Four is an irreplaceable culinary gem and a must-visit for serious pizza enthusiasts - a true regional benchmark - so you absolutely must go try their famous clam and bacon pie!

Inconsistent pizza quality. The dough has been soggy the last few times I've ordered.

We ordered a meal over DoorDash for a work lunch, and when one of our items was missing someone from the restaurant drove it over for us themselves (thank you, Joe!) On top of incredible service our food was delicious - I was super impressed and highly recommend!

Their pizza is slightly charred, so it's a good place for people who prefer this style of pizza. The service is great and there are decent options for vegetarian people as well.

This review is specifically for their cafe

I'll be frank, their Chai sucks.

I've had a lot of chais in the boston/cambridge area and it is top 2 worst (up there with Pavement's chai).

It's honestly so horrible. Especially for the price they charge. It's burnt and feels like they put in a bunch of cinnamon in steamed milk. Nothing else.

Moreover, the prices of their pastries and food items are also absolutely atrocious. I got a 10oz chai, 1 scone and 1 breakfast sandwich… why was all of that $19??? The quality of the food does not warrant or justify those prices

The convenience of it right there is very nice, but not worth an additional like $4.

Positive note: their pizza is pretty good, I cannot lie.
