The food is incredible as is the service. This is one of our families favorite restaurants in Boston.
Vegetarian options: Lots of lentil, collard and barley crepe dishes . We are not vegetarian but find ourselves ordering the vegetarian options because they are so delicious
Kid-friendliness: We have brought our son since he was 7, and have observed plenty of families here
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp and ample seating/aisles for a wheelchair

Amazing, amazing!
The food is delicious and the arrangement of the food is appealing, especially on the traditional Eritrean stool/table.
The ambience is so beautifully Eritrean. It's homey: the curtains, the art, the flowers hanging from the roof, everything.
The service was excellent, kind.
I'd recommend going here for a date, especially in the evenings when the lighting is dim yet sufficient. It creates an intimate environment that feels romantic.

I love this place so much I would go to Somerville 7 hours away JUST to eat here.
Dietary restrictions: They will do gluten free injera if you call in advance.

Bad service from the staff, the food is bad. I found spoiled things.

The place in itself is really pretty and homely but the server’s attitude is straight up awful.
The server has to understand that you’re serving Ethiopian cuisine in another country so you will have to explain most dishes, not confuse the diners.
Food was good, but I will not be returning thanks to the service they didn’t provide. There’s many other better Ethiopian restaurants. They don’t take Amex or Apple pay either.

I've only gone here once 2 years ago and I crave it to this day. The honey wine is 10/10

A gem of a restaurant located in central square. The house special vegetarian combo is vegan and delicious. Loved the variety of flavors that worked well in combination or alone. One nitpick is that the menu could be labeled a bit more clearly to show vegan items.
Dietary restrictions: Good vegan options

So good. It’s hard to find decent food in the area and that’s a gem?
Update: went with friends. We ordered and then realised we want more food, the waitress just poured the new food on the used dish. It was really odd.

Excellent way to get to know Eritrean cuisine... it's like Ethiopian, but with some differences. We had the two combos: one veg and the other with meat. All of the dishes were great! Although we missed the hard-boiled egg with the chicken, the tastes were all very much alive and interesting. The house-made honey wine and the Asmara beer were excellent!

Their mostly teff-based injera is the best I've ever eaten, and the tibbs was spiced to perfection. The service is also very good, and the waitresses are very kind and answered all my questions. Nonetheless, it's a bit pricey for what it is, so be ready to break the bank ($44 for an entrée and a glass of wine).

Every bite was worth every dollar! The food and ambiance were fantastic, and Letina’s Mes was a wine unlike anything I’ve ever tried. Good vegan options too.

I’ve been coming to and loving Asmara for many years, and it’s always the very best. Consistently delicious food and kind service. I usually get the vegetarian combo, and it’s very filling with all the different lentil/bean dishes, as well as being a great combination of flavors from the rich stews to the tangy cabbage. They will bring you extra injera if you want, but don’t forget to eat the bread covering the bottom of the platter, which has soaked up all the flavors from the dishes sitting on top of it. That’s the best treat at the end of the meal. I’ve also tried their homemade honey wine, which is a bit too sweet for me on its own, but is great to drink with the food—a nice balance to the spice.

Great spot, food was very good and served on injeera to be eaten with your hands, definitely give it a go, it makes it all the more authentic!Service was great and attentive. They don’t do reservations but you can call in and ask how busy they are.We got the Kitfo on the top, a raw beef dish, but don’t be intimidated, it was delicious! You honestly wouldn’t know it was raw beef unless someone told you. The Asmara Tibsy on the left, good flavor anyone (including picky eaters) can enjoy, but the meat was just a little tough. And on the right was the Atkilt which came with some veggies and potatoes, it has a rich stew type flavor we also really enjoyed. Came with the salad in the middle which was refreshing with all of the meat. Nothing was very spicy and all of it was suitable for mostly any palette.
