Good coffee and quiet if you need to have a conversation.

Jes Sorensen

Coffee shop that doesn't open before 8 on a work day.

Not Barismo, but Bare Minimo. With the exception of the cold brew, everything here is a disappointment. They usually close earlier than their scheduled hours (been at the door at 3:50PM and the doors were locked, even though they close at 4PM!), the schedule and menu are very limited, and the chai latte is just terrible. I know the beans are good, but save your money.

Good coffee, not sure what is going on here physically. I miss Voltage. This is some much-reduced space with odd L shape and not great seating options.

Simple, quiet, no food just coffees and chats

Great coffee, great location but really a bit cramped since the co-op workspace went into part of the original Voltage space. Can't sit down in cold or bad weather and drink coffee or meet someone. Went from great meeting place to not a place to meet anyone.

I'm a tea drinker so there weren't too many options here for me. Bakery selection was bare even though they advertised food. Overall it was ok.

Ordered a cold draft coffee through ritual, and picked up shortly after. The location was empty at 8:30am on Monday morning. Unfortunately the coffee was not great - although inexpensive compared to other options in the area, it had a strange aftertaste and was incredibly bitter even with addition of honey and all. Could only drink half of it before tossing the rest. Perhaps just not the flavors and beans I'm used to but will not be recommending or returning here.

I like the decor of this cafe'. The service was friendly. There isn't a great choice of options for breakfast. So for me it would be a good place for a quick stop to have a coffee or a croissant. Also there aren't many seats so it's more a place for take aways. The girl serving was very nice and the place is clean and bright.

I'm changing my review based on the last couple of experiences in this shop. The coffee is still just fine but the competition is a bit stiffer in Kendall than it used to be. I come for the coffee, which I'm bringing home or to the office to grind and brew myself. The last couple of times that I visited, they've been out of retail bags, and flat out refused to sell me whole bean coffee by any other means. No one has ever asked to buy some of your whole bean from behind the counter before? It's not like I asked for my espresso to go. I would like to keep supporting this shop but the last experiences I had really made me feel unwelcome.

This small coffee shop in Cambridge serves up some delicious fresh brewed coffee. The staff is super friendly and happy to help while you wait. There pastries are not bad either and make for a good breakfast in a pinch. The coffee is excellently roasted and brewed and comes out with a great depth of flavor, even in the cold brew.

It makes me sad to give a mere two stars to this location of Barismo, especially when I so dearly loved its predecessor, Voltage, and am a fan of Barismo's beans. I've been here a couple times since the reopening and rebranding, and it has lost its spark. The first time, I came with a friend and found it difficult to snag enough stools to sit on, despite the fact that there was plenty of space and not many people there. I wanted to get an espresso drink but am a milk-and-coffee girl, and they had run out of dairy-free options by 1pm (rather early?). I settled for a tea, which was good but rather pricey compared to neighboring spots. The next time, I stopped in for a quick drink before a lunch date. My almond milk cappuccino was much more bitter and astringent than I am used to and than what I had remembered Barismo coffee to be. I finished it, but had to eat something soon afterwards to get the taste and weird feeling out of my mouth. On the pro side, the baristas were nice, and there is still some fun artwork up on the walls. But it's a far cry from the quirky and delicious coffee shop the place used to be.
