Food was good, service and show was underwhelming. Drinks were good, was a little pricey for what was given (extra charge for fried rice??)
We love Bisuteki for a family celebration. In this case it was for my 88 yo Mom. She laughed and laughed. So good food, ambience and fun fun fun.
Worked out well for a family dinner even with two under 6 yrs. It has unfortunately become pricier as everything, but was my daughter's special birthday request. Note you have to come on the exact day of your birthday to get comped! I would recommend.
I like this restaurant and have been there several times. The food is served quickly and efficiently—which should be seen as a good thing. However, this time, I felt the server was hovering and rushing us. It felt hectic and definitely not relaxing or as enjoyable as it should have been. Very mechanical feeling to the meal. The fish was excellent but so skimpy on the vegetables!
Food great, but when you don't order alcohol they pay attention to your table. So our drinks never got refilled and never was asked if we wanted anything else.
The bartender was amazing while we waited for our table, very friendly. The server was pushy throwing hot soup at us like nurse ratchet. The chef was rude saying “HELLO ANYONE HOME” to two women at our table while they were trying to order. The chef didn't do the normal hibachi fun stuff like toss the zucchini or sake stream when the other chefs did it. We all felt like we missed out. The steak was overcooked. The server argued about the tip we gave them in front of the restaurant and we explained our concerns. The fire suppression hood didn't work and the grill was greasy near the drain. I can't go back here. Where did all the good hibachi restaurants go?
Luckily it won't deter us as we are frequent patrons of the restaurant. However for a 6:30 reservation, it wasn't even 90 minutes and we were being asked to move to a booth. I had two sips of my drink left. It was completely rushed from the moment we walked in (and we were 10 min early for the res). They didn't even give us two min to scan the drink menu and wanted our food order. They did not ask us if we wanted dessert, just brought the bill. And again rushed us out after to the point where I felt uncomfortable and was expecting herds of patrons lined up when we left. But that was not the case. There were a handful of people. Luckily we had one of our favorite chefs and the food was great. But for the service, was a fail.
We went on Valentines Day so completely understand that this is not a typical service day. Food was delicious and not bad priced. Our disappointments were with the organization. We had made a reservation but being Valentines Day they threw reservations out the window turning into a first come first serve list hand written at the hostess stand. Unfortunately, I waited in queue until our turn rather than cut ahead as so many others. So when we were finally sat it was two hours past our reservation time. Our chef was friendly, however did not perform any of the hibachi tricks that other tables received. No onion flame tower / volcano. No fancy egg yolk drawings, no tossing of food into our mouths, catching of eggs in their hat, or water bottle spray waterfall. We saw these events happening at the other tables, but our chef just made the food.
The hibachi fillet was delicious and the service was fast.

Horrible food. Freezing cold in the restaurant. Dirty. Easily the worst dining experience in Boston. Clean up your act folks.

Seriously, a lot of fun when you specifically get this chef!! He is so fun and lively! When he came out and was performing, we all couldn't help but laugh out loud. ? Everyone was watching us. I can only assume they were wishing...

Only went here because of the F&B coupon from Courtyard I had to use. I was shocked by the quality and service received. Sushi and maki were far from being fresh, coke was watered down, had a hard time getting attention from staff to order and pay. And found out that they automatically added 18% tip for a party of 2 and for poor service or lack thereof. This place is probably in business only because of the forced destination charge and coupon from Courtyard. I would rather throw away coupons than having to pay tax and 18% tip here.

The staff was friendly and the show was fun but pretty similar to every other Japanese steak house. Good but nothing special.

Hi, I've dined here twice, and I really enjoyed the food both times. However, on my last visit, I was disappointed to find some insects around, which made the experience less pleasant.
