Black Ruby: Thai Craft Burger & Dining

I need to try more of the menu before I make a real call, but the pasta with white fish I had was delicious and has me excited to try more. Didn't get a chance to try the drinks.

Great date night please the small cozy spot. It’s very difficult to get walking. It’s better to do a reservation earlier. The burgers were extraordinary. I even like that cocktails. The only problem was getting parking around that area.

I went to Black Ruby with my partner to celebrate their birthday and was SO happy we went. The atmosphere was lively. The staff was friendly and accommodating. And the food was utterly unique. I ended up getting the Thai PB&J and it was so much better than I expected. The peanut sauce melded with all of the fresh vegetables toppings, and the blackberry jam brought a lovely sweetness, all coming together on a great bun to make a sweet and savory delight. Another notable bite was the Pad Thai Spring Roles (I like peanuts okay). They were genuinely the best spring rolls I have had, but do note that the portion is smaller than expected, even still the price was worth it given the flavor. We had a couple cocktails, one of which being the Yuzu Drop, which I was expecting somewhat of a lemony flavor, but was surprised but a delicious mandarin forward taste. For dessert we split a bowl of Mango Sticky Rice, and I had no idea you could improve on such a classic staple, both the presentation, texture, and flavor were delightful! Though the most notable part of the sticky rice was the plating. I mean what a inviting piece of tableware! All in all I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a unique burger in a nicer than a burger restaurant setting. We were startled by how affordable the dishes were given the care and finess that went into them. Thanks y'all!

There’s a PB&J burger which is exactly what it sounds like and I loved it, though I'm biased because I love sweet and savory. The larb Parmesan fries were maybe even better.

Overall, the food is great and the space itself is so cute and well decorated. There's other stuff on the menu too if burgers are not your thing. Definitely recommend this place!

Not your typical Thai restaurant. The dish here has a blend of Thai and Italian (with pasta and cheese) and other dishes. It is well executed. The food is tasty with a good balance of flavors.

The place is jammed packed when I was there. So, the reservation might be recommended.

I liked Black Ruby. It was our first time here and we had a res on a Saturday night so it was kind of busy. The restaurant is smaller than I imagined but not bad at all. I didn't think the music matched the vibes very well and I feel like the lighting could be improved, the table we got sat at was very small but we made it work. The drinks were decently good but not what I expected. We got the seasonal chowder, the Caesar salad, larb parm fries, green curry pasta, and the massaman burger. The soup was delicious and we enjoyed it a lot, subtle sweetness but so much flavor. The Caesar wasn’t amazing but it was decent. The larb fries were so good, tangy, sweetness, and slight saltiness making you come back for more. The pasta was a good fusion of flavors, very different. And the burger was a good burger but the curry surprisingly wasn’t special to me. Lastly we got the mango sticky rice dessert and it was very tasty. It was a very well done. Overall I did enjoy everything but I think there could be some improvements. Thank you Black Ruby!

After a month long wait for our reservation, we came here for dinner. Our table was ready and we were seated as soon as we arrived. Service was decent with polite and attentive waitresses. They were out of scallion fries, but sweet potato fries were crispy. Ginger lemongrass tea felt like a warm cozy hug. Mango sticky rice dessert was yummy and even had the vegan ice cream option. I really wanted to try the famous green curry burger with the tofu substitute, but I learnt that the sauce has chicken soup base. The sauces in most other burgers and pastas have chicken/fish/shrimp. Others reviews are misleading about many vegetarian/vegan options at least for main course, especially if you are a strict vegetarian/vegan. Partner got the Thai tea martini and pork dumplings which were good. The fish in the pasta was a bit dry. I wish they were more inclusive and had vegan options for main course. Won't be returning unless that changes.

However, it is astonishing that at 9pm the lights go on and the restaurant closes. Never seen that before
