This is a super popular cafe, in a very famous spot, hence there is almost always a queue to get in the cafe. Best suited for take away orders. This place is popular for its Matcha and that’s by far the best in the area. They have added a good variety of flavors, and at times they do run out of the popular ones like Pistachio. The staff are really nice, they are so busy yet they take and deliver the orders with smile, are very patient with customer queries, and make sure that they inform customers about the ingredients and check for any allergy to those ingredients. They do have a very small seating area, however given the small size of the shop it’s rather inconvenient to sit there, as it’s very loud and hard to hold a conversation or work on your device. Highly Recommended!!

Review I’m visiting from Los Angeles and stopped at Blank Street Coffee after seeing it on TikTok. The pistachio matcha latte and rocky road latte were outstanding. I’m not a big coffee drinker, and both hit the mark.
This location is mainly grab-and-go. There is limited seating, and during the semester mornings get crowded with Harvard students and foot traffic. That matched my experience. The line moved quickly and the staff was welcoming with good suggestions.
Popular for a reason. Creative drinks, consistent execution, and efficient service.

This is a 5-star review for the Harvard Square location. The cafe is sparkling clean. The staff are great. Sometimes it’s pretty obvious that they’re short-staffed, but they mostly keep things moving quickly and don’t take the stress out on their customers. (The 4 stars are because the croissants, etc. are blah. Coffee’s good, though.)

I usually buy my matcha from Blank Street locations but today I tried this location in Harvard and it was tasting so bad. We tried 3 different matchas from here. I was very disappointed. Banana bread matcha didn’t have a banana taste at all. Same for the other ones as well..
