Bon Me - Fresh Pond

For those of us who love cilantro, the rice bowl is extra fabulous. To each their own, but the “Namesake” banh mi and the ginger chicken rice bowl are the go-to meals.

How can Bon Me's bricks-and-mortar outlet be so much worse than their food truck? Their truck has delicious food, served up by friendly and efficient crews. On the other hand, there's this Fresh Pond store. Is counter service that difficult to master? The food is always mediocre, still half-frozen due to insufficient cook time. Why can't Bon Me transplant the service standards of their Kendall Square store to Fresh Pond? After several visits, I am done with this place.

If you want someone to eat at your business why would make it impossible to order online? I am not retarded technology wise it’s just a mess of a website. You walk in and are greeted by a bunch of idiots who don’t speak English and make you use the tablet. What happened to ordering verbally? They can’t be bothered to interact with customer, and then expect a tip. Insanity. These hipster food truck start ups have gone too far:

The food at Bon Me was good but not great. The sandwiches lacked distinct favors and the level of spiciness was underwhelming. However, the vegetables on the sandwiches were very good saving what would have been an otherwise bland meal.

We ordered meals for the whole staff on a whim, it was not a catering order placed ahead of time.. the service was wonderful and everything was done correctly, and delicious! Would recommend

Have to give a big shot to Jose and Maria for being so flexible. They weren't quite open just yet today, but they took the order and fed a starving man on the go. I appreciate you and I sure hope management does too. Thank you

I rarely leave reviews, but I have been a long time Bon Me customer. I accidentally ordered my order to a different Bon Me location, and they honored the order. Great sandwiches and rice plates, the K Town throw down is my favorite.

Food was good for the most part. Definitely enjoyed the fried rice. However, I ordered fries from them at some point and they were criminally oversalted. A real pity considering they were of great quality otherwise.
