It breaks my heart to learn this place is closing today. This was truly one of the staples of student life for anyone in Cambridge, and a favorite of parents, faculty, and just general tourists in and out of Harvard Square. Giant portions of unique, Cajun-style Texmex, giant margaritas and drinks on the cheap, and always a lively atmosphere. I hope they can find a way to save them, as I have fond memories here going back several years. A 5/5 review in homage of one of the best
They throw away your chips. How wasteful. If you want me to be eating warm chips, give me fewer.
This place is amazing. Protect it and don't set it on fire again.
last night was the first time in this restaurant. But It is absolutely not the last. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the good service, with the finest food and booze and with the modest pay. We will surely go back there again.
Great service with lots of selection of beer and food. Their seafood option are definitely one of my favorites. Their crawfish is very fresh and I really like their creativity of their table setups. Their cajun popcorn is also very good (it's fried shrimp). Parking is relatively easy and there is a parking garage just across the street from the cafe.
I am 100% in love with everything in this place. Huge portions of delicious food. I always order fajita or blackened fish tacos and they never disappoint. Margaritas are always great, I enjoyed the food and drinks every time I visit.
Great Mexican Restaurant in the Boston Area. The food was very good as was the service; it was almost a little TOO good as our drinks were refilled very quickly, even before we finished half of our existing glass.Location is convenient if you are in the area. Definitely worth checking out!
Nice spot for quality TexMex. You won't be disappointed in the menu and service. I'll return with my coworkers. The bill was reasonable. My apartment is far from here, so I can't visit often.
I am basically obsessed with this place. The food is just so good and it is so inexpensive - it is probably the best value for money you can find. I usually get the Enchiladas with the Jambalaya - it's out of this world. I have gotten some of their appetizers such as the Cajun Popcorn Shrimp, and the Guac - and both are awesome. They also bring you free chips and salsa for the table which is also great. The chips are warm and salty. I couldn't recommend this place more. Unfortunately, they have been closed for a while but I am really looking forward to when they can open up again.
Great place to eat...

We came for dinner before the theatre and it was perfect location for the American Repertory Theatre. We ordered popcorn shrimp, a cup of gumbo, and queso and chips to start, followed by chicken enchiladas with black beans and rice, and blackened catfish with jambalaya for main. All the food was really good, and the service was scarily fast. The gumbo was more like a beef stew than we expected or we’ve had elsewhere, but everything else we would recommend. The big portions served in such a short space of time led to us being very full. Our server Tanya was lovely. The only niggle was it wasn’t mentioned that the queso was a starter sized and priced portion, but it was still pretty cheap in the scheme of things so we didn’t mind in the end.
We came for the food, but the drinks were just as great! Truly complimented the plates. We ordered the fajitas and enchiladas. It’s all my husband is talking about. The service was very friendly and prompt. We will be back for margaritas!
Prices in Google maps menu are not real! Their prices are more expensive. The tortilla chips were amazing! Super fresh! The burger was dry and the fries were burned. I expected the food to be better.
Great food! Service was quick and nice! We went here for brunch and had a great meal. I would recommend you give border Cafe a try, it's great.
Great casual atmosphere. Staff very pleasant. And their food is always delicious!
