This may have been one of the worst breakfasts I ever had in my life. Firstly, they don’t give you water. You have to pay for it, which was quite shocking. The coffee came in tiny little cups and wasn’t very good. I got eggs that were sort of swimming and some sort of tomato liquid with overcooked vegetables and mushy potatoes. I would not recommend this place And it didn’t seem very clean

Best pancakes I’ve ever had in my life- the baklava pieces & chopped pistachio on top provide an amazing crunch, along with the delicious baklava filling & syrup.

The shakshuka bowl and feta za’tar bowl were both great as well.

I wish we lived closer so we could come here all the time.

Worst place we’ve eaten in Cambridge! The quaint mom-and-pop vibe is quickly dashed with indifferent servers and sticky seats/tables, which you think is the worst of it…until you receive your food. Dry pancakes topped with overripe berries, tough-as-nails and fatty steak accompanied by runny eggs and undercooked, cold, seasoned potatoes.

Only recommendation I’d make is that this “restaurant” is a prime candidate for an IRS audit since they ONLY accept cash (which came as quite a surprise to us given it’s not posted on any signs or written on the menu).

I gave 1 star because the food was so good. Everything we ordered was good. The 1 star is for the very bad service. I wouldn’t recommend.

I came from Paris to try out the famous Brookline bakhlawa pancakes and OMG, if you haven't, book a trip to Boston just for this and you won't regret it.
The service is great and the family kitchen is absolutely amazing.

Beautiful little restaurant walking distance from the heart of MIT's campus. Tons of sweet or savory options to choose from that will satisfy and fulfill whatever ur craving. We ordered the baklava pancakes, shakshuka, huevos rancheros, Texan Benedict, a round of coffees and a Turkish coffee as well. Everything we ordered arrived promptly, served hot and fresh, and packed with so much flavor. I would recommend everything we ordered, and I cant wait to visit again to explore more of their menu

Delicious and quick.
Pickled Turnips Julian as a garnish to a Western Omelette filled with fresh vegetables, hash crispy and diverse vegetable medley. Pancakes light enough just the right size.

Words can’t describe how perfect this place is. From the service to the food, reminds me of my Teta’s cooking. أحبك❤️

Cozy local spot with delicious food! Service was a little lacking (everyone was polite, but inattentive after initial seating and ordering), but I’d still come again. (: P.S. Highly recommend bringing your own water bottle — when I went they only sold bottled water.

Not sure why the review is so great here… waited more than 1 hours. Atmosphere is hot and under the direct sun. We just ate less than 10 mins and left. Can see many customers left their food unfinished. Food is really just mediocre.

Had an absolutely wonderful first visit to Brookline Lunch- I just moved to the area and will most definitely be back. The baklava pancakes are everything they're hyped up to be, I'm excited to try more :)
