The portions are ample (the large burritos are hefty units at just $1 extra), and the quality is high. Lots of extras worth checking out here, from salsas to drinks to desserts.
Deserves a higher place on the Boston latin food totem - although listed as Mexican it also has variety of Salvordan offerings like pupusas. The vibes are great!
Food was fine but the upcharge for normally free toppings feels dishonest.
Finally tried Chivo after meaning to for ages and you should learn from my mistake of waiting this long — stop doing whatever you’re doing right now and go there and order three Adobada tacos and get ready to smile. I haven’t had a good taco since I was in Mexico 6 months ago and Chivo’s Adobada made me smile. Great flavors! Already plotting how soon is too soon to order again. Did you know they also do breakfast? I’m so stoked. I have plenty of catching up to do since I slept on how great they are for this long.
Best Birria Tacos in town!
BE CAREFUL when ordering here! They overcharge.
With options like Felipe and El Jefe, I knew it was a mistake to get food from here. Sadly it’s close to me in porter. The food is extremely salty and not fresh compared to other places in the area. Now for the secret overcharge by the girl at the register, I knew cheese was extra but I asked the guy making the bowl if picked onion is extra and he said no and they attempted to charge for it. Would not come back nor would I trust them again. The music is also very loud and unnecessary.
Food was decent, but I have literally never had to pay for cheese?!? The recession can’t be that bad…

The best burrito! The food tastes like food, and not like grease only, as I experienced in many other mexican chain restaurants. Big portion, good price! And the burrito is lightly grilled, I love that!
The only thing I don't find great is the use of paper plates instead of regular plates (from any material that is reusable). That creates a massive amout of trash daily.

great prices and lovely food, but restaurant was overwhelmed with online delivery. on a weeknight, there were not enough staff for catering to the people actually there. The packaging was poor: we even had pickled veggies carried away in a (leaky) ziploc bag.

If you judge your taquería based on the refried beans and rice, you will love Chivo's. Seriously, loved the frijoles. And the guacamole had the right amount of limón too. Finally a place I can enjoy tacos in the area!
The beautiful tiles on the tables and walls really made it feel like home. Definitely coming back!! Looking forward to breakfast :)

I ordered a taco salad and a couple tacos from here. They were outstanding! Especially the carnitas, they were so tender and perfectly seasoned. This is a great neighborhood spot for Latin food ?
