This is a great place for a quick bite. The food is good, big portions for reasonable prices.
We were a big group and everybody enjoyed their dish, which included vegetarian, kosher and halal options.
The place is located in an area called "the garage" and there are some tables, but not enough for a big group (we were more than 10).
The staff was patient with our big group, and that by itself made the experience so much better. Also, this is a sort of open kitchen and it was nice to see all the preparations.
Vegetarian options: There are many dishes with paneer. And it was really great.

Chutneys in Boston offered a delightful vegetarian feast with bold flavors and vibrant dishes. The Chili Garlic Noodles were perfectly spiced with a satisfying kick, while the Manchurian had a rich, tangy sauce that paired well with its crispy texture. The Paneer Chili was a standout, featuring tender paneer cubes in a flavorful, spicy gravy. The Samosa Chaat balanced savory and tangy elements beautifully, making it a crowd-pleaser. Mango Lassi was refreshing with its creamy sweetness, and the chai provided a warm, comforting end to the meal. A great spot for authentic Indian street food vibes!

Loved their chili garlic noodles and lamb curry!
I stopped by with my friend to get a bite to eat before an event and was very satisfied! I decided to try the paneer bhurji sandwich as it sounded interesting and let me just say…. The heavenly angels began to sing upon the first bite and my eyes rolled to the back of my head, it was truly one of the best tasting sandwiches I’ve ever had in my life. It was so amazingly crispy, deeply flavorful and beautifully served. I love Indian food so much and this truly hit the spot, it was also very filling and perfectly paired with a mango lassi. It took a while to come out but it was worth the wait!

Chutneys is one of the best places near Harvard University to get mouthwatering Indian and Chinese cuisine.
I particularly like the pricing for the food and especially the lunch combo was worth ordering for sure, alongside panner tikka and hakka noodles 🍜.
The taste was reminiscent of Indian street food. The food was delicious, spicy and affordable ( US).
A must visit place for sure 😃

Tried their chicken sandwich along with Indo-chinese meal. I was quite disappointed by the sandwich and its filling quantity, but their Chinese was yummy and spicy. Though the rice quality used for Chinese was not up to mark. The place and atmosphere is not that good. I’d recommend take out.
Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options in everything they offer

Delicious authentic Indian food, very close to the flavor you can find in India.

My family stopped by for the nearby Subway and I decided to give this place a shot. Based on other people’s reviews I tried the Kung Pao chicken and it was absolutely amazing. One of the best things I’ve eaten in Boston.

Closest to Indo Chinese I’ve had in/around Boston. The food can be a little oily but ask them to cook with less oil and it’s great, the manchurian is a little extra tangy for my liking but that’s okay.
The atmosphere is a no go, I always only get take out. It’s located inside a food court/mall and the seating isn’t clean (the mall is dirty overall).

Clean friendly and great food! Went into the garage for a slice and did not find my pizzeria. Was pleased to find this great spot, who thought Chinese stylized Indian cuisine would be SO DAMN GOOD!

SO it is dimly lit in there especially for daytime. You walk down a long corridor and then they are at the end. Paneer Korma - Creamy gravy made with a hint of Cashew cream with Cubes of Paneer (Cottage cheese) served with Basmati Rice and Salad.
$12.99
Flavorful Chicken Curry base with soft halal chicken to satisfy the curry cravings served with Basmati Jeera Rice and salad.

I got my food quickly but:
1. The order was wrong. Food I still like so I didn't make waves and ate it.
2. There was foreign substance in my food, so while the sauce was delicious I no longer felt safe eating it.
3. The portion sized were small of the protein. I had 3 tiny pieces of meat and 4 tiny pieces of tofu. While I appreciate how yummy the sauces were there, full of flavor, was so much sauce but hardly any meat.
4. It is totally open so the hall thought they have a ton of seating it is a bit weird and gives off food court vibes. There was this guy was sat out in the main hall area outside of Chutney's with chin length mousy brown hair and a beanie who stared at me until his girlfriend arrived with their food from another place outside of this dim food hall. It was weird. A couple guys walked by and made comments, it was weird and made me uncomfortable. I packed up and left.
Get your food to go maybe, but check it before you do.
