The coffee and sandwiches here are top notch. They support a wide variety of local vendors including Taza Chocolate. The inside of the store is beautiful, welcoming, and well laid out. I recommend Darwin’s to all friends and family visiting Cambridge.

Man, I love their roast beef sandwiches (best roast beef sandwiches I've had in town). But I heard the owner is Union busting and I can't in good conscious give a good review or continue buying my sandwich if the store doesn't treat their workers good. I mean, it's them that make my sandwich. I wish the owner would support the workers cuz I wanna eat my sandwich.

Someone stole my sandwich but they were happy to make me a new sandwich. These guys are a real neighbourhood place. Love to all Darwin’s locations.

I come here often because I work in the area. The quality of the food and the kind/friendly staff keep me a regular. I crave the sandwiches and the really yummy lattes ?? so good ??Also, my baby loves the people watching here, like me lolzVegetarian options: So yum! When I was pregnant, the veggie options were super clutchKid-friendliness: I'm a regular and know most of the staff by name. Love them! Hard workersParking: Sometimes the metered spots out front are open, but I usually park at a meter on a side street

Excellent decaf iced latte. Each bean has its own brewing profile.

Had brunch here. Tasty breakfast sandwich served fresh and hot. They have pastries that sound delicious, but haven't tried them yet. I also had tea with oat milk on the side counter that I could add myself to taste. Pleasantly air conditioned in the hot weather.

Atmosphere: Its very casual coffee shop vibes where you can bring your laptop and do work. It is bustling on most days. The decor is very cute and gives off a comfortable vibe. Attire: no special attire, wear whatever your heart desires Food: I love breakfast sandwiches and these are very good, however, the one with the beans I would say its good but it does make my tummy hurt and it happened twice. Will try a third time to full confirm. But the other regular sausage egg and cheese was very good and you really cant mess that up. Their desserts and pasties are also very good. Location: Its right on Cambridge street in Cambridge. A pretty busy street sometimes when school is in session. Price: Pretty decent pricing, I mean you cant get a $5 breakfast sandwich anywhere anymore so cant complain. Parking: No parking lot, there is street parking in front of the shop and usually its easy to score a spot as people come and go often, but if not there is a lot of street parking on the side streets Overall: its a great spot, quick and easy and decent tasting food. Nothing stands out too much, its your typical breakfast spot. Id go back, its very convenient.

1 of my 1st times back since the 3 lockdowns started; little has changed. Exceptional sandwiches & good specialty coffee drinks. (Signage still says too little about options, e.g., that you can order 1/2 a sandwich.) Prices are somewhat high. Fun, academic vibe.

darwin's staff is amazing and as someone who used to work at another unionized coffee shop i love coming her to support. great sandwiches and so many good vegan and vegetarian options.

Everything you can possibly order comes "to go" and they don't even HAVE real forks. It is egregiously wasteful. I paid $18 for my d*** salad and I have to eat it out of a box with a plastic fork. If you're going to charge so much for a simple meal at least get compostable forks. EDIT: It gets worse! I ordered a "salad" and it was the minuscule ingredients from a sandwich dumped into a box with a plastic container of cream cheese. WTF? I asked for actual lettuce and they acted like they were doing a favor and gave me UNCUT SANDWICH INGREDIENTS in another box. Absolutely disgusting and inedible and I will never go to this terrible cafe again. It's been a long time since I've been so disappointed in any place.

I just unwrapped my $13 Soldier's Field sandwich to find the sticker still on the apple! (see photo) I remember when this place was good quality, sad to see it's gone downhill. Save your money and get a sandwich somewhere else.

Order the plain bagel with cream cheese and lox and love it. I was honestly never able to find a sandwich here that I love but I asked them to make me a simple plain bagel with cream cheese and lox once and it's so good. As a New Yorker, I definitely crave my bagels when I'm in Boston so Darwin's is my go-to place to get a good bagel with lox now. They are generous with the portions of lox, the bagel is toasted, and the cream cheese is cold -- not much more you can ask for! Darwin's is also just a great place to hang out and go for a cute breakfast -- the cafe vibes are lovely.

Unfortunately this location doesn’t meet the same standard as some of the others from my experience. I stopped by and not only were they out of the meat for the sandwich I ordered, they were out of bread. All bread. A sandwich shop that has no bread. Needless to say I wasted 15 minutes in line to have to leave and go somewhere else.
