Falafel near Cambridge, MA

“This little tiny cute place looks like a tiny house stretched to be taller. It is right next door to Charlies Kitchen in Harvard Square, Cambridge, MA. You walk in and can go up a few steps where there is a counter to order, and downstairs there is seating for maybe 6-10 people tops. The place is great and is clean and the owner keeps it up well. The food is outstanding and falafel Corner and in particular, they produce some amazing shawarma wraps and rollups - nice and juicy and the veggies have always been fresh. This evening I called ahead and ordered 2 menu items for take out - the chicken shawarma rollup and the vegie combo plate. Both were excellent, tasty, juicy and large enough in portion to satisfy two hungry people. I'd recommend this place to all. A bonus if your into late night food action - I believe it stays open late, to like 3 or 3:30AM.“

“I tried your cafe’ for the first time and I was blown away by the taste, quality and price for the amount of food I received. I ordered the Shawarma Chicken Wrap w/tahini sauce, so tasty, the chicken was moist to perfection and I absolutely love the cucumber pickles. For desert I ordered the Kunafa, took it home and warned it up and my oh my! so so yummy!! I can’t wait to go again and try their other items.“

I couldn't understand why he would take the time - it's not like this guy is going to remember me out of all of the people who come through there. My mistake - every time I would see him over the years, at whatever location, Kadhim would come from behind the counter and greet me by name like an old friend. Understand - he was told my name once, over 20 years ago. I don't even go out to lunch very often - sometimes it would be years between visits to one of the Falafel King locations. But every time I enter, it's a big smile and greeting and an expression of appreciation that cannot be faked...go check them out!“

“We usually order from a different Shawarma place in Somerville, but decided to give Sam's a try. The food was very good, and in good sized portions. They were good about following requests to leave things out of the wraps. Note that they do the style with fries on the side rather than in the wrap. My only complaint is that they list some, but not all, of the ingredients on their site. So if you have things you can't eat, I definitely recommend calling them to double check. My partner can't do creamy sauces, and they listed tahini sauce but not garlic sauce in the lamb/beef shawarma, which ended up being a problem. Not a huge thing, just annoying that they make it look like everything is listed when it isn't.“

“I love this place. The food is amazing, Kafta, hummus, falafel, stuffed grape leaves, bastirma, you name it, it’s good. They even have some kid/picky eater friendly items like chicken fingers that are great. They’re adding pizza to the menu, and I can’t wait to give it a try.“

“First time ordering food from here. I grabbed a falafel burger for the ride home. Sandwich was absolutely delicious. Fries were very good as well. Definitely a sandwich you need to be sitting down to eat. It was too messy (in a good way) to eat as I was driving. Will definitely be back.“
