Pastries are my weakness and Flour bakery has much to do about that! From the first homemade Oreo to the apple spice cake to the fresh soups, sandwiches & salads! I have enjoyed everything since Flour bakery opened their first location in the south end! Grab a cookbook if you can! I lost mine and need to get that Oreo recipe!

Super cute bakery with awesome food. The staff was friendly and attentive. There were so many delicious looking pastries that it was hard to choose. I ended up picking the ham and cheese croissant. I got it warmed up. It was really good, but I would have liked it a bit warmer. I also got a breakfast tea, which was good.

Mediocre avocado and salmon toast cost me 20$, I think the place is overpriced, and that’s for a self service place anyway

Great little local chain. Sandwiches and pastries are excellent. My favorite is the hummus sandwich and the sticky bun.

Im mostly disappointed in the quality of the coffee which is really mediocre. The pastries and cakes are amazing. One thing that irks me is the limited options for vegetarians on the lunch menu and what they do list they are often out of as well. And then there is a lot of 'hidden' unnecessary meat like the bits of bacon in the expensive salad I just bought and did not see as I checked out. Now I cant eat it. Meat is a major driver of climate change, we should all be doing our part to eat less and restaurants should be making it a bit easier to do IMO.

It was really crowded when I got there during lunch hours - and all seats were taken (many by non consuming customers, but that's life).Once I got the seat the experience was ok, although the seats are not comfortable. Coffee was good (not great). The cake I got was average.Staff was friendly and doing all they could to process everything promptly.

Best banana bread I've ever had. Sometimes places like this are set up awkwardly and you can't tell where the line is or how you're supposed to order, but this was set up clearly and intuitively so you could focus on the important decisions of what amazing pastry to order. It stayed busy the whole time I was there (it was a weekday morning), but still quiet enough for comfortable conversation.

Flour Bakery holds a special place in my heart, especially the South End location that was close to where I used to work. However, I now frequent the Harvard Square location and the quality of the food and pastries is the same. The app streamlined my regular orders, making the process quick and easy, and the rewards program added a delightful touch of fun. While I've yet to make it to Flour Flavorite, unlocking the Frequent Flour status has been an annual achievement I cherish. Pastries are a highlight, and the sticky bun is, without a doubt, is the staple. The breakfast sandwich has been a reliable go-to. Lately, my obsession is the hummus sandwich transformed into a salad with blackened chicken--an unexpectedly delicious twist that makes it a standout salad option. While coffee wasn't always my preference, the recent addition of the peppermint mocha has won me over. It's now a must-have during my visits. To top it all off, staff are always friendly and welcoming adding to the experience. Flour Bakery, with its fantastic pastries, versatile menu, and evolving coffee game, has become one of my favorite spots in Boston. Here's to many more Frequent Flour visits and, fingers crossed, a triumphant Flour Flavorite next year!

I went there shortly before they close, and the most recommended item left was the banana bread. It was moist, and I could taste the natural ingredients, from bananas to crunchy walnuts. It was satisfying, but not spectacular for $4.5 plus tax.
