Franks continues to be a local favorite! Our group included some first timers and some frequent guests, all of whom had a very enjoyable evening. Great food, great staff, great atmosphere. Looking forward to our next visit!

The server could be more friendly. We frequent this restaurant and find most of the servers just take the order - with no conversation. It would add to a night out!

Best prime rib ever. Our service person was just outstanding. She did everything to make our night memorable since it was my 82 birthday.

Quality Food with reasonable price for quality and generous portion size, nice to get 2 sides with main course

Drinks were good!! The food was okay. We ordered the bolognese and that wasn't good at all. I got the boneless ribeye and some of it was cooked up but still edible I would rate the whole experience 7/10.

Been meaning to go to Frank's for several years and finally had the opportunity. Given it's a steakhouse that's been around for 85 years, they must do some things right and we found that to be the case. All meals include rolls and two side sides in addition to your entrée. We had the house special sizzler, which is a 15 ounce New York strip cooked on a sizzling platter as well as a filet mignon.. for sides we had the red bliss mashed potatoes, french fries a salad and cup of chowder. Both steaks were cooked to perfection and were flavorful and well trimmed. I especially liked how crispy the exterior the steak was. French fries fries, and mashed potatoes were excellent although the portion size of the french fries was a bit small. The clam chowder was good but did not have a strong clam chowder taste to it. It was thick and full of potatoes and could've benefited by a few more clams and a little bit more liquid.. Our server was friendly and efficient and overall we had a great meal. I would very much expect to come back...Franks delivered a great meal at a more than fair price.

Honestly the most disappointing steakhouse I have been to in the United States. First of all, I knew beforehand that this was a “cheap” steak in Boston. Located a mile down the road from Harvard, it’s in a great area. Very historic restaurant, ribeyes and prime ribs in the 30-40 dollar range. “The oldest steakhouse in Boston”.

The ribeye and the prime rib were absolutely the worst steaks I have ever had. The prime rib was tender, however no flavor. I have legitimately had better prime rib at our local buffets where I’m from.

The 15 ounce boneless ribeye steak lacked everything, even the slightest hint of salt and pepper would have helped. It was utterly disgusting. I eat steaks once a week and I can say with confidence this is the worst steak I have had in 10 years+. It was clearly cooked on a flattop with zero effort.

There are several reviews claiming this steak is “good”. That is a lie that needs to stop being told and you all need to be aware that this place has a terrible steak. And that is why it was $40.

P.S. the appetizers were however fantastic. And the loaded mashed potatoes were very good.

Okay, so much to say here

I'm just gonna say this: the food was out of this world, like, it's some of the best stuff I've ever had. The steak was great, and I totally recommend the mozzarella garlic bread.

Our server (Melanie) was SUPER kind and the only server that I've ever had good conversation with. If you get her as a server, tell her Saina says hi for me please!

Great experience on a Saturday night for our party of 6. We had a relatively quiet corner table. All the food, including steak, burgers, roast beef and carrot cake, was excellent and well cooked. The waitress is a dear and very attentive. Didn't break the bank.
