Went here on a friday evening and place was absolutely packed - highly recommend reservations because you'll be lucky to get a table otherwise.

Ambiance was better than expected. You wouldn't be able to tell by looking from the outside but the inside is a classy well lit spot with tons of seating a spacious bar area. Great spot for dates, friends, and family.

Service was so-so. Could tell they were busy and trying their best. Maybe hire more servers?

Food - pizza was alright. Not amazing like others raving on here but it wasn't bad either. One of them was lacking flavor and the other was undercooked.

I love their pizzas! It's one of my favorites in the Boston area.

Ordered Rigatoni from the lunch menu. While the rigatoni bolognese is hearty and generously dusted with Parmesan, the pasta itself falters. Several rigatoni pieces are collapsed rather than hollow, losing their ability to trap sauce, and the cooking is inconsistent—some firm, some softer. The sauce is flavorful but doesn’t fully cling. With more attention to pasta quality and integration, this could be excellent; as served, it feels rustic but flawed.

Walked in on September 3rd for just a casual dinner for bday . There was no host in sight so I asked barista about seating . I wanted a bar seat so she directed me to bar . As soon as I walked into the bar room , this man possibly the GM wearing shorts gave me a scolding look , I approached the bar and his stare got more intense so I kindly said “is there a specific bar seat I can go to ?” And he just exclaimed I should see the hostess …. There was no clear hostess ….. mind you the vibe at the bar was meh so I was gonna ask for patio anyway… went to front asked for patio .. sat at patio .. had dinner .. pasta was subpar , had the corn pasta .. and meatballs . Service was fast probably explains why my pasta was stuck to my plate . The place is super cute . But one thing or the other just felt like an afterthought. Manager guy ruined the night for me forsure .

Highly recommend for a great meal!

Gufo hits the nail on the head in every aspect.

1. Drinks - fantastic. I had the negroni and it was so beautifully made and crisp. The Saved By the Bell had this really nice herby taste with the great spiciness coming from the chile vodka.

2. Food - delicious. The asparagus was so well made, tender with a fantastic crisp. The cacio e pepe arancini balls were fried so nicely with a melty interior finish. The Dandelion Greens pizza was light, but creamy. The lemony sauce was so nice. The meatballs were home-y and filing, made you feel like you were eating a nice comfort meal. Finally the unpictured cavatelli was certainly the star of the show. Cooked to the perfect aldente setting with a nice crispy breadcrumb on top. The flavor was just delicious and unique. May have been my favorite part of the meal.

3. Ambience - the place is so well decorated on the interior and HUGE. Unexpectedly huge. You first walk in and see the semi outdoor space and bar, but around the corner is the main dining room and boy oh boy do they utilize the space well. The U shaped bar was very nice and they had a good amount of large tables for seating.

Great for groups, great for date night, great for drinks. You won't be upset by your visit.

Gufo became my favorite place in town. Great to work at their patio on Fridays, with a beautiful plate of pasta or a nice sandwich — to a gathering with friends by the fireplace. We’ll be back very often.

Gufo has long been a favorite of mine and my partner’s. We ate here tonight and the food was great as always, however I found a shard of plastic in my pasta. I told the waitress in case anyone else ordered the same dish, and a woman who I assume is a manager came over to apologize. She let us know she was taking the pasta off the bill, and then also generously offered us a round of drinks on the house, which we really appreciated and took her up on. However, when the bill came, the drinks were still on it. It definitely left the impression they were trying to offset the cost of removing the pasta from the bill. While we love the food here, this experience has us questioning whether we’ll return to Gufo.

Areas of improvement: Small portions, Rigatoni was sitting in grease, margarita pizza didn't have much flavor (where are the tomatoes?), ask the waiter for 2 extra seats at the table for the fruit flies, had to ask for bread 4 times before we received it, a guest at our table didn't receive their dish with the rest of the table.

Also, why is the air conditioning turned off when its 92 degrees outside?

Pizzas were overcooked, almost everything was spicy even when it wasn't needed which was a problem for a member of our group who is extremely sensitive to both black pepper and hot peppers. Cocktails were great

Pizza and pasta were pretty good. The pasta portion was EXTREMELY SMALL for the price. The waitress did warn us though. But still. I’d eat if you are loaded in dough.
