Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ

Difficult to understand what to order is not aided by servers. Ordered an offering for z4, which was way too much. Is this a place for students?

Quality meat served for BBQ and good tasting sauces. Fun atmosphere with diverse crowd and people thoroughly enjoying the atmosphere and revelry cooking your meat. Place is bright, and since table grills, can get a bit smoky. All in all a good time, and good value for Harvard Square.

We had a great time. The Meat Lovers was too much food for two female friends, but we made the most of it!

I wish there were more vegan options but at the same time I rlly liked the Beyond beef Bibimbap and the assortment of vegetables. Service was amazing having both knoa and Mario serving and helping the table. The setting and ambience was nice as when I got there it wasn't busy but when it came time to leave it started picking up. Overall amazing experience

Very rushed. Most food arrived before drinks and most starter items came last. No idea why they were in such a rush as they only had one side of the restaurant open. They clearly have no idea what makes for a good experience where you feel it was worth the money.

Great idea but expensive for all you can eat when they are slow to bring out food & they charge you more for leftovers ..that you can't keep

Poor service. After placing our first order, only one meat dish arrived, and then we waited for 10 minutes without any other food. The waitress never came to check on us. We had to ask another staff member to find her. When she finally came, she told us, “I can’t get you anything right now, there’s a big party on the other side.” Her attitude was terrible.
Interestingly, after we complained, the food came out very quickly. So clearly, they can serve faster, but only if you push them.

It's all about the food and their meats and vegetables were fantastic. Well marinated meats that simply melted in your mouth. The booth seats were uncomfortable and clearly worn out. Time to refresh the seats!!!! BBQ alone definitely worth a visit

Literally 4 pieces of thin-sliced beef for $10. Got egg shell in the soup.

Slow service. Waited over thirty minutes passed the reservation for a booth ( and I left a note on the reservation for it prior). Was not checked up on by server once for anything- even water, grill change or napkins. Even waited 20 min for pre scooped vanilla ice cream. Arnold was our server, never smiled once and tried to give us “something special” as he was handing us the check to make up for the bad service. We even had to pay extra for garage parking. Won’t be coming again.
