When ever I visit Cambridge MA I always have at least one meal here, if not more.

They have a very large selection of items to choose from and you never leave here hungry. The quality and quantity of food is awesome!

I've never liked plain cheese pizza but this place was fantastic. The crust is the thin and crispy kind, and the cheese was the just-right amount toasty and lightly golden. I have quite a few pizza shops around my apartment but when I'm in mood for one would rather drive out here.

Top notch pizza that's consistently prepared in under 20 minutes. These guys are very good, a hidden gem on Mass Ave. It's boxed hot too, making it all the way home still piping hot

Chicken salad wrap is really good, a little $$ but it’s big enough you can get 2 meals out of it

The BEST pizza in Cambridge! Our family has been enjoying the Half Shell for more than a decade. We love their pizzas, always perfectly cooked. And if you like pineapple pizzas like I do, let me tell you they cook it perfectly, no soggy mess like you get at the average pizza place. And the salads!! OMG, arguably the absolute best takeout salad ever. It has so many different veggies. This is no afterthought salad like you find at most places.

I only tried one thing (so far) but it was good enough that I'm gonna leave a review ^_^

Was just looking for some quick take-out that wasn't fried or another pizza (had lots of that lately), like "real food" but not heavy food. Soo ...I came to Half Shell for the "and more" part. Ha

Got the Steak Tip Salad with Cesar dressing. It comes with a large pita, which is very plain (not a complaint tho). I stuffed le pita with the salad and dipped it in dressing, and it hit the spot! Good chunky fresh veggies and crisp greens with genuinely good steak tips on top. Oh, and I got the small size — which is easily enough for 2 people to split. I look forward to my leftovers ?

I am gluten free so unfortunately couldn't try the pizza. However, it was the absolute worst fomo because this pizza looked proper.
Not soggy, just hot and crispy as you can see from the pictures. It's very rare to see pizza stand up on its own! Not to mention, it was also a great price. If I wasn't celiac, I'd go here once a week.

It's been over 5 years since I moved away, I still get regular cravings for the Half-Shell. Warm personable service from a family establishment is welcoming in the city. The food is fantastically satisfying, affordable, unpretentious, and delicious.Try the straktips with rice. I add greek dressing to mine.
