It's been over 5 years since I moved away, I still get regular cravings for the Half-Shell. Warm personable service from a family establishment is welcoming in the city. The food is fantastically satisfying, affordable, unpretentious, and delicious.Try the straktips with rice. I add greek dressing to mine.
Lacking a variety of drinks, mainly soda. The pizza was okay. The chicken pesto is not the usual one would expect; raw mushrooms and a strange greek variant of pesto sauce. The staff was prompt and attentive. Counter service only.

I love the Half Shell, everything on the menu is great but the Steak and cheese is next level. Best you’ll find in Cambridge.
We were in the area for a conference and stopped in for lunch. I had the Gyro Dinner (pictured below), and my friend had the Souvlaki Dinner. My gyro was really good - I would go back for this! There are some two-person tables available to sit and eat at. Our one issue was that we ordered at 11:55am and were handed our food at 12:25pm - we needed to be back at the conference at 12:30, so we could not sit and eat like we'd hoped. Overall though, I would recommend it.
