When I'm having a bad day, I get a glorious fried mushroom sandwich from Hot Chix and it immediately makes me feel better. Lusciously soft bun, perfectly crispy, spicy but not greasy mushroom, fresh cole slaw!! Got to share this place with some of my friends today and we got some delicious, well-seasoned fries waffle fries with the ultimate contrast of crispy exterior and pillowy, hot interior, and some of the best mac n cheese I've had nearby. Amazing fresh fried chicken! Would absolutely come again but next I will remember that they really bring the spice here. Had plain on the tenders and it was just perfect. Mild was a bit to much for me though I really can't do spice... the only criticism I'd have is the price but it is Boston after all. I really liked the sign in the window, but I think some might find it offensive.

Jun2025:
This place hit the spot. We met one of the owners Alex and his presence primed our score. Fries 10/10 mac n cheese: 8/10 sammich: 8.5/10.
Fries were crispy to perfection only con is the ketchup had high fructose corn syrup . Mac n cheese was too gooey for me. Sammich was delicious we had hot spicy level and will be coming back!
