Authentic Mexican! BUT you can still get the American favorites (And understand the menu). Cool atmosphere, some indoor, some outdoor. Friendly staff. GREAT GUAC! Cool scene in Cambridge. Easy access and some parking down the street/ near school. They have A LOT to choose from, but the staff will answer any/all questions and tell you there favorites!

Best Mexican food in the Greater Boston area. Home cooked family recipes and huge tasty Margaritas. Great value for the price. Small cozy room outdoor dining great ambiance. Friendly service staff.

This is my favorite Mexican place in the Boston area. And I love the dark, homey atmosphere. I went here when restaurants were ok to eat inside again. A really good welcome back!

Joses was a family favorite for many years. We had never had issues with reservations being honored, service being sub par or orders coming out correctly. All of that changed during our last time @ Joses. Sadly, we won't be returning.

Wish I could've liked this place. Sat down around 630 and didn't get out of there until 845. I wish that was because we were having so much fun but it was only because we saw our waiter maybe 3 total times. Shame because I enjoyed my drink and would have liked to order more thereby increasing my tip but I never got the chance. My wife flagged the waiter down the other 2 times for water refills and to get the check. Rough experience just sitting there waiting and waiting. Odd because I wanted to spend money on drinks and food but the staff didn't seem interested in that haha. Might try again just in case they were having a rough night as people start to go out more after COVID and maybe they were swamped.
Seeing Carlos, the owner, greeting us at the door and walking us to our table was excellent. A great signal that the pandemic is almost over. Carlos and his staff were very friendly and attentive to our service needs. Food was excellent. Now with this new found freedom, we plan on being back to Jose' s very soon.

Lovely neighborhood restaurant, the food is tasty and unpretentious, very friendly and inviting atmosphere. Great variety and excellent vegetarian options, too. Huge margaritas!!

This is by far my favorite Mexican place to go to in the area. Anytime I have someone from out of town visit, I'll always make sure I bring them here. The food is always great. The fresh chips and salsa hold you over while you wait for your meal.The margheritas are fantastic.
Food was amazing and the margaritas were delicious. Taking one star off because we had reserved and outdoor table and when we arrived we were told that they don't take reservations for outside seating and wouldn't honor it. That was annoying since it clearly stated in the open table app that the reservation was for an outdoor table.

I loved being able to reserve an outdoor table. Jose's has great vegetarian and vegan options and delicious black beans (my favorite!). I got the mexican flag enchiladas filled with spinach and cheese, and it was so good.
Made a reservation for outdoor dining, showed up and was told “I know you made a reservation for outside but we don't take reservations for outside.” I understand places get busy and mistakes get made but what bothered me was that they couldn't have cared any less. We said we were willing to wait if they could give us a time range but they couldn't even do that. They just kind of stared at us and were totally unhelpful. Bad customer service. Never actually ate there.

Always awesome. The staff are extremely friendly and consistent. I live nearby, I've probably eaten here a hundred times, and it is ALWAYS relaxed and friendly. The food is delicious, the vibe is excellent. Very accommodating for vegans, special diets, and allergies.
