My adult daughter and I had a FANTASTIC dinner. It was my first time, my daughter had told me how wonderful it was so I already had high expectations, but it completely surpassed them. The mushroom appetizer was spectacular, but honestly, we loved everything and one of the highlights was the delicious swordfish plate. A sauce to die for! The pork fried rice was also exquisite. It was a particularly lovely treat to meet the owner at the end of our visit. What a charming and warm individual, so clearly committed to creating a fine dining experience with so much loving care. Cannot wait to go back and bring more friends and family! Highly recommend.
The food was excellent - we had toro sashimi, dumplings, mussels in gochujang sauce, pork fried rice, oyster mushrooms, and lobster roe spaghetti. Our server was very friendly, and the overall experience was great.
Valentines Dinner $90 per person. Three SHARED courses. Even the entree was shared. We left hungry. The food that we did have was great. The tip was automatically applied even tho there was little service given since it was a set menu with a 90min time limit. Not worth the $250+.
It was our first time at Judy's Bay and we cannot wait to go back! We loved that the menu had lots to choose from and everything we had was so so good (we would reorder it all 😊) + service was impeccable and the fireside booth experience made our evening extra special, thank you!
Contemporary Asian Fusion. Great Sake offerings. A welcome addition to the Cambridge dining scene.
Judy's bay is the coziest place an the staff was so attentive. The lobster roe pasta is a must order
The tuna bowl was by far my favorite thing we ate— the quality of the fish was the best I've had in Boston, and I've lived here for 9 years!
We had an amazing dinner at the fireside table. (No fire because we had 7 people and someone had to sit in front of the fireplace). Ambiance is great. The food was delicious and creative! Especially loved the dumplings, tuna pate, sweet potatoes, lobster roe pasta, whole redfish, and spicy mussels. Cocktails were also creative and delightful. They took great care of us. Wonderful celebratory meal!!
Great atmosphere. Excellent food, great service. Every dish is delicious and carefully sourced.
TL;DR: okay food. Small portions.
The food was quite mediocre with no particular stand outs. I got Monkfish Katsu, Lobster Roe Pasta, and Toro Rice ($$$)
Lobster Roe pasta was especially disappointing as the “roe” (which you can’t really see) doesn’t add much to the flavor. It felt like a regular pasta, and we were wondering if they forgot to add the roe or something.
Monkfish Katsu was enjoyable, but the serving size was disappointing to say the least. I expected to be served at least half a fillet - we ended up getting a few popcorn sized fried fish pieces.
Toro rice is good - I mean it’s Fatty Toro it’s very hard to mess up. But for $55, it doesn’t taste any different for other Toros at other establishments.
Overall, this is an OK restaurant - and perhaps lack of other decent Japanese options in the area makes it a bit overrated.

I recently visited a izakaya restaurant wanted to share my thoughts. The food was okay, nothing extraordinary, but enjoyable. I tried a few different small plates, Sake was good. I found the overall experience to be decent. The atmosphere was cozy, which is typical for an izakaya setting. It's a good spot if you're looking for a casual place to grab a bite and a drink. A little bit pricey though.

Absolutely amazing every time. The pork belly, toro and muscles are must gets. Great selection of drinks as well.
Overpriced tiny plates in a Japanese-inspired fantasy. Luxury prices, appetizer-sized regrets.

Great local spot for "country style" Japanese food. Warm wood fireplace by the door sets the tone. Its like you are in a winterside intimate Japanese kitchen. Def recommend.
Dined in last night, excellent food, cozy setting. Standouts for us were the toro temaki, mussels, seared oyster mushrooms and dumplings. The mussels were deliciously fresh and cooked perfectly. The quality of the sushi rice preparation in the temaki jumped out at both of us. Just the right amount of seasoning all around to let the quality of the ingredients speak for themselves.
Drinks were nice and balanced, nothing too strong.
