Came in to pick up lunch for the first time. The staff are really sweet and took care of my order as soon as I walked in. Maria and Julio were the ones who took care of me and their service was so great!! She even let me try the lemonade. The pineapple lemonade is soooo good. As for the food, I got the Peruvian chicken market plate and it’s very 50/50 unfortunately. The rice and chicken was great, and the green ají sauce?? AMAZING. The sweet potatoes and guacamole were regular, no notes. But the corn?? FROZEN. And the pickled onions? Rancid! Tastes awful. I was disappointed about the veggies because it was the reason I got the dish but honestly, everything else was great and I would give them another try. Especially for that green ají sauce omg!

Pretty sure this place has a rat issue, rat feces was under my table. This isn’t the first time I’ve seen feces or small crumbs that rats may have left behind. This place feels like a Walmart version of sweet green and not in a good way. As a colored person it rubbed me the wrong way that they kept playing weird Jamaican music that had nothing to do with salad or the vibes in the store. The whole chain feels like a corporate cash grab and this is definitely my last time eating at just salad. Just looked at other reviews and the apologies are so generic, the say your name, address the issue, either they say “we know what it feels like” and then lead to “we’ll take it up with the team”… I live in the neighborhood and nothing about that place has changed. I give this place a few more months before we can finally replace it… perhaps a sweetgreen or cava.
