Great meal, service was on point. Unique cuisine, only minus was the parking was a real pain
Food was consistently creative and delicious. Request for modification to a dish to accommodate my (genetic) cilantro aversion was handled well.

Excellent dinner at La Royal. Ceviche and polenta were outstanding. Noise level was moderate. Nice, casual vibe.
Ivan was our server and he made sure we had an amazing experience! The food and cocktails were very good and the ambiance and live jazz music were quite nice.
Great dining experience with warm, personal service and a very inviting atmosphere.

It’s a nice place. Service is very nice, very casual.
The food was overall very good, but a bit of a mixed bag. The ceviche was very good (nice acidity, with the traditional two types of corn), but the fish was not well cleaned, it had some of the brown meat in the back of the fish that made it taste too fishy.
The pastel de choclo was interesting, but a bit too sweet.
The tacu tacu was the best: it was like a “meatloaf” but if rice and beans, with a seafood spicy sauce: very interesting flavor, very good.
Overall a bit expensive for what it was.

I came to this restaurant with a couple of friends for my birthday. The service and the food did not disappoint. The food was great especially the branzino and scallops. My friends had a little cake for me which the staff presented to me toward the end of the night and they sang happy birthday. They even gave us a couple rounds of shots, making one of the shots a mocktail for my friend who doesn't drink. What a nice touch! What really warmed my heart was when they cranked up the music to some classic dancehall cuts. The dj was on point! I couldn't have chosen a better playlist. Thank you to the staff at La Royal for making my birthday celebration exciting and special! Kudos to this fine establishment.

I left La Royal in Cambridge very disappointed. The dishes lacked flavor and didn't justify the high prices. For the cost, you expect high-quality ingredients and well-balanced flavors, but instead most entrées were mostly filler with very little of the main ingredients. Overall, the food did not meet expectations, especially considering how expensive it was. I would not recommend it based on this experience.
First time there. Lovely spot. Sat at the bar. Nice ambiance. Ceviche and causa was very tasty. Main courses were good. Flan for dessert was excellent. We really enjoyed the relaxed setting and had a wonderful night there. Serving plates were hard to manage especially when attempting to share food. Overall, would go back for another meal. Keep it up!
Nice ambiance, true transparency with the possibility to see the kitchen at work and fantastic cocktails and food

11/2025 It is fusion Peruvian cuisine, but not in a good way. The dishes are overpriced and the flavors are unbalanced, either too sweet or too citrusy so you can't really taste the ingredients themselves. The $39 fish dish wasn't worth it; it tasted more steamed than grilled. The $37 duck breast with cilantro rice was also disappointing, just a few pieces of tasteless meat served over a large portion of mushy rice. I honestly don't understand the high ratings. Service was good, but overall, I won't be returning.
Food was well prepared. The appetizers stood out for their bold flavors particularly the shrimp skewers with pineapple and potatoes. When it came to the entrees the Chinese-Peruvian noodles sadly were not up to par with the other dishes, the seafood was well cooked and a good variety but the noodles themselves were pretty basic and made the dish more boring. Overall though a great atmosphere, service and food.
Food and drinks were excellent. Highly recommend any of the dishes with the Peruvian Chinese sauce. Holy moly it was so good.
Shoutout to Marlow, my waiter who had lots of patience when explaining the menu to me. The water glass was always full and the staff really steered to enjoy their jobs. The food was delicious - I had tuna tiradito (basically sashimi with an incredibly flavorful sauce) and shrimp and pineapple skewers. Skewers sound boring but they were anything but: the flavors complemented each other perfectly. The only reason I took off 1 star was because I felt the cocktail menu could use some variety. While I'm sure all of the cocktails are delicious and well balances, the only options for a “non sweet” drink was a Negroni (boring on an otherwise interesting menu) and a gin martini that was washed with horseradish, which is what I had. It was OK, but nothing to write home about. The horseradish flavor didn't make it different enough for it to be unique. One of the reasons I chose La Royal was because of all of the complements it got on its drink menu. There just wasn't much there for a non sweet palette. I will definitely be going back to try the rest of the menu. Will pair with wine instead.
Excellent food, terrible service. The waiter spent more time sitting down and chatting with some friends of his than he did providing any semblance of service to our table. It was also uncomfortably chilly in the restaurant.
