The food is not what it used to be at its original location in porter square but the space is awesome!

I had Matcha latte and it was refreshing in the scorching Aug heat.

Life Alive Organic Café has been a consistent favorite of mine during graduate school, serving as a reliable spot for healthy and tasty meals. With over 300 meals enjoyed here, I can confidently say that it offers a great variety of fresh, organic options that cater well to anyone looking to maintain a balanced diet. The café itself has a welcoming atmosphere, making it a great place for both studying and relaxing. Their commitment to quality ingredients and sustainable practices shines through in every dish. The staff is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. For anyone in the area looking for nourishing food in a pleasant setting, Life Alive is definitely worth a visit. It’s been a great support to my routine of fitness and yoga, providing meals that are not only good for you but also delicious.

Huge variety of healthy veg food, smoothies & coffees. Definitely near the top of my list for places to eat in Boston. Had the Buddha bowl today and it was delicious.

I love most Life Alive restaurants and have been going to the one in central square for more than a decade. I more or less always order the same thing. While quality is consistent and wonderful at the central square location, the Harvard Square location routinely delivers really sub-par results with missing and our poorly cooked and prepared ingredients. I would not write this negative review if this were just a one off experience, but I believe up to 50% of the times I get food from this location the quality is way below the standards set by central square. Seems like Life Alive needs to improve staff training in their newer locations?

Everything was amazing! The food and drinks are fantastic (I recommend getting the Chai Macha latte), and the decorations are so cute.

I love the atmosphere here. It’s a great place to study, read or work. I really like the fact that they offer non-caffeine-based hot beverages. The golden milk is my favorite! Food is also really good and seems to have fresh ingredients. Sometimes the service is a little slow however and the serving size can be small, at least it was on the spicy peanut noodles.

Food was good and fresh, lots of healthy options. Staff were pretty unfriendly and the place has a strange atmosphere, especially downstairs.

I order from here nearly every day and hate to leave a bad review for a generally good place, but Life Alive really needs to get it together with following basic protocols and instructions pertaining to orders:1) They NEVER include hot sauce when you request it via delivery (why bother giving the option if you’re never going to fulfill it?).2) Their Ginger Crush has become some watery mess with like a drop of ginger (it didn’t used to be this bad a few years back).3) I’ve received multiple orders lately from both here and the Davis Square location where the rice was way undercooked and instructions for ingredient removals were blatantly ignored.I’m sorry but for a chain that charges a premium for their items, you’d think they’d be more diligent about following basic protocols.P.S. I worked here for a couple years pre-pandemic, so I can comfortably say that the consistency in quality here has deteriorated.

Food was really bad. Over powering onions and garlic, and absolutely bland besides those flavors. Not worth it for the price. Atmosphere quite loud for a yoga cafe. Don’t recommend and will not come back.

Place was great. Best mint tea I've had- mint leaves, lemon and other herbs in tea. Service was excellent and friendly, cashier even chatted with me while I waited. I'd come back when in the area again.
