I admit it’s a little pricey but once I tasted the sour dough pita I forgot all about that. Seriously this was one of the most incredible pitas I’ve ever had - flavorful, incredibly soft and pillowy, so fresh. It makes you wonder if you’ve ever really had real pita before. Also, amazing service - when I bought the pita the woman at the counter accidentally gave me one that was merely a day old instead of fresh that morning but she literally ran a whole block to track me...

I used to buy from them when they were only selling at farmers’ markets and was happy to discover they had recently opened a brick and mortar shop near Porter Square. Their homemade ajvar (roasted pepper & eggplant spread) is especially delicious and not very easy to find commercially in the Boston area, although I’m admittedly biased as ajvar is one of my favorite spreads.

Small counter-serve Middle-Eastern bakery offering savory pastries.

Stumbled upon this place while hunting for some light pastries and coffee this past weekend. The store was seemingly dwarfed by the long line at Bagelsaurus next door, but despite its modest storefront, the pastries looked really tempting.
