I lived next to this place for a decade and always walked past thinking that I’d try it someday but moved suddenly before I could. On a trip back to Cambridge I decided to squeeze it in and was seated a little over 12:05pm but I had to leave at 1pm. My order was only taken around 12:20pm so between sitting down and receiving food (eggs+toast+corned beef and pancakes with no modifications) was 50 minutes. I got a few bites in and had to run. I know the Central Square brunch scene is busy and made the mistake of choosing here since they didn’t seem too full and I thought diner food would be fast, but do not come here on a weekend without plenty of time. Food was okay, the corned beef was good, pancakes and cocoa were lackluster, and an extra topping of raspberries means you get six raspberries.

The worst service for outdoor seating. I think the waitress started that day.

Tiny little bfast joint. Great food service is a little slow as the staff can get busy. Just give them a bit well worth it.

Scam of a restaurant! I ordered $12 worth of bacon (8 slices) and only received 2. This bacon was supposed to be my dog’s last meal before we say our forever goodbyes and Mass Ave Diner just scammed us. Very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend this place at all. Very little care to the details and just want your money.

My mom and I arrived about 11:00 am . We sat at the counter which you can watch your food being made . There was no wait which was good because I was so hungry . I order turkey patties (3) and French toast with freshly squeezed oj 😍😍😍 the food was perfect . That offer two types of syrup . My only suggestion is they should have beef sausage over pork . I would return again .

The food was very good, simple, perfectly cooked and seasoned and lots of it. I had an omelet that was cooked with a generous amount of vegetables and cheese and three tasty pieces of gluten free toast plus a large cappuccino. It was a great meal. The place is small, the wait staff are very kind and helpful, our food came quickly.

Second time at MAD…entered directed to table….5 minutes later server dropped off water…I said, “Thank you, good morning.”Response….” Hold on, I have other things to do.”
I waited at my table…other patrons came were seated, their orders taken….i waited…no server approached. I left….will not be going back!
It was not the wait…it was serving customers who arrived after me….while I was ignored!

The food was so bad my friend and I didnt even finish eating. Nothing was seasoned, everything was just gross. The bread was hardly even toasted. Customers have to walk through the kitchen to get to the bathroom downstairs in the basement and that doesn’t seem sanitary to me. So awkward and bad food. Waitress was rather cold
Love this place for breakfast. And they play the smiths and pixies so really cool atmosphere.

Food was ok but like most places in Boston or Cambridge it was over priced for the portion size and quality.
Parking: Typical city metered parking. Good luck.
Wheelchair accessibility: Very tight space inside but if they rearranged the entire dining area you might be able to squeeze a wheel chair in.

Traditional American diner fare at a reasonable prices in a nice neighborhood. Can't go wrong with eggs and bottomless coffee.
